Hey Dopey, thanks for stopping by! Yes I use this floral wire on all my plants, starting early-mid veg. I tie the top over as much as i can and then, all other shoots begin to reach for the light, while growing laterally. It really is a great technique and has proven the same results with supper cropping or topping, which to me is more harsh on the plant because you have to cut or break stalks, OUCH! So i just bend em over!

Do quite a few people do this?

I am growing Ak-48, would I want to tie that over once it gets a bit bigger?



I take it the tip turns up and starts heading for light too

I am also a fan of Low Stress training techniques. As Rollin Face has already stated, some plants don't like to be tipped or super-cropped, but all react well to bending, tying down, and other versions of LST. The tip you bent will reach back up for the light, but other branches will also reach up at the same rate, and this means, hopefully, more large buds. Now would be a great time to bend yours over.

That gives me some hope, i too am running 1 400 hps and probably too many plants 20ish (unsexed) just started 12/12 7 days ago so i'm really lookin for hairs!! well i'll definatly be watchin good luck w/harvest! JS

The lollipop effect was entirely by accident! Didn't have a grow lamp when we started to grow them as it went missing in the post! Has done very well since I got one mind you!

Hey guys, hope you all have an incredibly stoney 420 today, ill try n do the same....here my girls are at day 40. Bub is almost done, gonna go till 65 then sssdh and kush will be last at about 70-75 days....water'd with Sweet today. Ive noticed im getting the classic yellowing with some spots on leaves, esp with the Double Kush, and i dont have cal mag, so im hoping the N in Sweet will try to perk em up. Do you guys have any remedies this late in flower?

And my Mother Purple Urkel that i almost killed last night, i was raising the CFL and it fell on top of it and SNAPPED the main stalk, so i built a crutch and got some scotch tape. Hoping for the best.

I started using "Blackstrap Molasses" to give more size and flavor, but it also has calcium and magnesium, and can help supplement, it definitely lowers the ph.
I use 1 tsp/gallon throughout the whole cycle.

Well guys heres a long overdue update, i flushed everything and have since only used water...not much to say so ill let the pics do the talking:

First up is the Double Kush, this one got the worst burn, great plant but still has no real distinctive smell:

Haha i know no one has peeped it, but i dont care man, as long as i have your help and a few others im cool with, and for the sake of being able to look back on all my progress, helps not keeping notepads around.. But thanks for the love Sammet, yeah its day 60 here for the Bubbleicious and i decided to pull her this morn before lights on...heres the bubble bouquet!!

And as for the next grow, i have a few strawberry beasts from Shmoe that id like to get a nice girlie out of and take a stab at cloning...i have plenty of time too bc after this crop, my op will be down temporarily for about 2 months. So ill have adequate time to mother these babies....

But in the mean time i put the dried bubblicious buds into jars today, the bag appeal is really nice and the smell has remained, no real hay smell...so that all a plus...but ima let em get a good cure before the real sample! Peep the fotos:

Hey guys, well here we are at day 68, we cut down the SSSDh and its still drying before jars. This was the light yielder of the 2 SSSDHs. The big sister is coming down around day 70-72, as will the Sour Kush and Double Kush.

Dont mind the blurs of the close shots, i had to try and get a macro, but in the background is the clearest part.
