I'd come out to How I could just kill a man by RATM, or Mama said knock you out by LL Cool J (cliche I know ;) or Walk by Pantera

All of the songs you've listed are routinely used all over the country in small time MMA events. So you wouldnt be unique in anyway.

Surprised you didnt say 'let the bodies hit the floor' lol.

Okay... So ur a pro fighter of any kind... Judo, Kickboxing, BJJ, Boxing, MMA, dont matter...

What song/anthem are you coming out to?

He's wack and obsolete I admit it, but I've always said I'd come out to Ja Rule's 'Die M'fucker die'... One of the tuffest hip hop joints if you asked me... I think it would be pretty intimidatin, specially if your opponents already in the ring...

Just the first minute... imagine this comin on when you take that long walk to the ring (Forget that its Ja Rule)

What would you guys come out to?

Its one thing to dream about the song you want to come out too, but its another thing entirely different to train for the day you have the right to come out to that song. It takes years of hardwork, intestinal fortitude and a willingness to succeed to even consider competing. While you're dreaming of the song you will come out too, keep in mind it may also be the soundtrack to the thrashing you're about to receive.

The question in my mind is, if he does go to MW, will he still be as fast...

As fast, as strong, as tough.........all things to question when a potential fight with Anderson Silva is in the works.

tell me you wouldnt want to see a wandy v chuck trilogy......

Not really, wanderlei Silva isnt the same fighter he was a few years ago. Years of hard training, brutal sparring and fighting the best fighters in the world professionally have taken their toll on him. Hes much slower then the Axe Murderer of 2003, 2004.

Liddell vs Silva happened a few years too late. And even a beat up, fight ravaged Silva put up a good showing against Liddell.

Id rather see Liddell get his ass handed to him again by Rampage then watch Liddell and Silva go at it 3 times personally. But then again, Im not your average UFC fan.

Hence - "cliche I know" ... anyway I could probably rattle out a load of angry/fight related songs but these were the first that came to mind and btw I don't like 'let the bodies hit the floor'

Anyway, what are everyone's predictions for UFC 84

Lightweight Championship bout: B.J. Penn vs. Sean Sherk
Light Heavyweight bout: Tito Ortiz vs. Lyoto Machida
Light Heavyweight bout: Wanderlei Silva vs. Keith Jardine
Light Heavyweight bout: Thiago Silva vs. Antonio Mendes
Light Heavyweight bout: Wilson Gouveia vs. Goran Reljic

I'm thinking Penn, Tito, Wanderlei and Gouveia for the win, not sure bout the Mendes fight

I think MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) is the ULTIMATE sport! Theres nothing else that will test your mind body and soul to the same extent!...Its brains its brawn, its speed, its precision, its endurance, its power! Its Perfect!
I know what it takes to be a great fighter...

I also gave Cway and Napalm much respect for the fact that they fight earlier in this thread...

I dont get why u comin at me like I dont respect fighters....

This thread was buried 3-4 pages deep yesterday so I brought up a topic to bump it and get it goin again....

This aint Sherdog Homie, Kill the attitude... Thats great that ur not the average fan.... and if we're beneath you, why waste ur time typin?

I definatly agree with u on Chuck and Rampage... But that one doesnt deserve a trilogy... Chuck dont deserve another chance.

Take a puff...This thread aint all that serious

Culture Club .. 'Do you really want to hurt me'

one of the guys from my gym actually came out to this for a dare one time it was pretty funny!!

Im a Muay Thai Purist though and find alot of the groundwork in MMA gets a little boring, i know u yanks like to roll round with each other on the floor and all do a bit of high school wrestling, but us brits like to stand up and fight like men!!

As for who ever mentioned Hong man choi , the guy has no technique, although not as bad as bob sapp, Kimbo slice is a tough bloke but again he aint technically sound!!

This is one of the more rediculous things Ive read in a long time. I will just leave it at that.

Typical childish remark. You actually tell me to kill the attitude with you, but perceed to talk some shit? Thats brilliant.

Its kind of like dreaming about what you would do with the money you won from the lottery, only you havent even bought your ticket yet.

Go buy your ticket(train) and then maybe if you're lucky you'll have the chance to pick your own entrance song as you actually walk the aisle to the ring or cage, not dream about walking it.

I wouldnt say it was quite true. Since you asked, here we go..

It may be boring to you, but I can tell you're not a seasoned MMA fan if you get bored with the ground work. A true MMA fan, understands the philosophy behind the ground work and the techniques used. Its a fight, as close to no rules as you're going to get without risking going to jail. You do find yourself on the ground in real life situations, and if you do not know how to defend yourself there you're in trouble. But theres nothing boring about ground work in MMA, unless you're seeing some LnP. Nobody wants to see that.

To suggest "yanks" meaning Americans do not fight like men, unlike the british is also rediculous. Which may have indeed prompted my attention, along with the grappling comment and...

As for who ever mentioned Hong man choi , the guy has no technique

Hong Man Choi is a K1 level kickboxer, and is well over 7 feet tall. For his size, he is one of the better kickboxers around. He holds a victory of K1 Champion and soon to be legend Semmy Schilt. No easy task, I can assure you. It may not be pretty at times, but you just dont win fights by size alone when you're fighting a guy your size with incredible skill in Semmy Schilt. We're talking big guys here, not 155 pounders. Few have beat Semmy Schilt in recent years, but Hong Man is one of those who can claim he has.

Hong Man has recently enlisted in the military for the next two years, required military service.

It seems as though ive upset u a little outlawed420 let me just straighten up a few things for you...

firstly the comment about yanks and wrestling was a joke, dry english humour and i apologise if this offended you.

as i stated i am a Muay thai purist, i enjoy 'stand up' fighting, i also beleive many people who watch ufc etc also prefer the striking aspect.
i gave my opinion that i find the groundwork a little boring, i did not suggest in anyway it was not highly technical and skilled, you are right im not a seasoned mma fan but i am well aware of the level of skill, conditioning etc involved in this, it is just that it is not my personal preferance, i was just stating my opinion.

as for Hong man choi, ok perhaps i would have been better to say that he does not have the best technical ability, yes he has a contraversial victory over semmy, which was in his home country of korea. semmy for such a huge guy has good technique, something rare for guys of that sort of size such as choi who generally really on there size and power rather than technical ability.

again i apologise if my opinion upset you please chillout and enjoy a reefer!! :joint:

****Let me be the first and only to express my true regret if I offenended Cway, Napalm and now Fingaz (the people who have expressed that they participate in MMA or martial arts) in any way by bringing up a topic of entrance songs***

Since we're just dreaming the rest of us should not have been talkin and I shouldnt have even opened this thread in the first place since Im not a fighter

Im gonna hand the thread off to Outlaw420, bc he's so much better and more mature and knows much more about MMA and fighting than I

Its all yours Big Man

anyone heard about mark coleman fighting lesnar this summer? was watching vids earlier and came across that on some web page.

i heard about the fight, but i cant really predict a winner. coleman has great hands, solid chin, and a very respectable ground game. i think this will be a good test for lesnar. id like to see him get a win in the UFC. i think the determining factor in this fight is going to be the clinch...whoever gets the better of his opponent in the clinch will take it. i think lesnar needs to learn something besides the hammerfist in case he gets stuck in guard again.

The fight im looking forward to is Penn\Sherk. If bj can keep up his cardio i think he wins that one.

anyone looking forward to bisping v leben? i expect fireworks there...

any decent matchups im missing? let me know guys

well fellow MMA freaks, it looks as if UFC 85 is cursed. The bisping-leben fight had been offed due to the fact that chris leben would have insufficient time to prepare after serving 35 dayin in an oregon jail. He would have needed a visa to fight in the UK (where the fight was scheduled) and couldnt obtain one due to a probation violation....blah blah blah. Jason Day has stepped in to fight bisping at ufc 85. I would have called bisping-leben a coin flip, where i think bisping will take day.

The ufc 85 card has some great fights on it....but it seems as if they all fall apart. First it was to be Liddell-Shogun, then shogun pulled out. It became Liddell-Evans, then chuck pulled out (and posted pics of his injury...not to say that anyone in mma fakes injury...respect) now we have Evans-Irvin. that sounds like an interesting fight.

The loss of both Liddell and Shogun on the card has prompted the ufc to call matt hughes in to fight thiago alves. This fight has the potential to be an all out war. Alves is young, hungry and strong. He has power in his hands and feet and isnt afraid to throw. On the other hand...hes fighting Matt Hughes who, love him or hate him, is no "can". Two out of three losses for Alves have come by way of submission, im sure Hughes will try to exploit this once the fight hits the ground. Remember though, every fight starts standing up... This one may just be highlight reel material for someone.
