Fan and filter?

I was wondering the cheapest fan and filter that will rid heat and odor from a 400 w hid and 5 stinky females...... In a closet

should work i use a 4inch filter and modded stanely blower fan in my closet, there's 35 sqft floor 400w hps 400w mh. i pull through the filter through both lights into the stanely blower fan and out into attick.

That goblin is a piece of shit. I had to return mine because it was not getting rid of all the smell. You are better off building your own, buy a can33 with that fan, or finding one on ebay.

I repeat, Goblin air filters are peice of shit. Check my thread and see why

^^yeah, I'd have to agree. Those goblin & elf filters are total crap.

Also, I have that exact duct fan and I can tell you that it won't even begin to pull air through a carbon filter, you want something like a vortex for that. See:
GROWBRITE FAN for a cheap option.

One thing you don't need to skimp on is security. I use the Can filter and a Vortex 4" fan. A little pricey but definitely top of the line.

^^What can filter do you use? I've been looking at the CAN33 but I can only find it compatible with a 6" fan?

I'm pretty sure I bought the 33 as well, been awhile and I don't have the box. But I bought a 6" to 4" duct adapter and ran the 4" part through the flange, glued it with gorilla glue cement, then glued the flange to the can filter. No problems whatsoever with the cement glue coming loose, it held really well. And that can with the 4" Vortex worked great for me on my last grow.
