1k on LED's? what an investment. i had 2 600 digital's with hortilux bulbs and hoods for less...

its funny though. the giant red lights remind me of the red LED stop lights at intersections. i wonder if there the same.

nice gorw your plant is hella squat. id have started with 3 or 4 seeds incase its a boy. ohh that would suck.

small detail! You are also very insightful. I'm jealous of your ability to

operate the 2-600's. I mean space and $. Your certainly right, I feel as

though there has been some departure of logic. My true goal was to grow

on low wattage. I think I'm still within reason on that score. Simple

problem with more seeds, so I didn't take that bet.

Are those Envirolite's in your avatar? They are big as heck! I was going to

do a combo grow with CFL & LED. I thought that they would make good

buds. LED makes them tight.

ya the big one is a 200w then a 150w then a 105w. i use 55w CFLs but for next grow im adding two 105w CFL an im gonna make a heat sheild with its own intake an exhaust, ill have over 35000 lumens in a 3.75 sq ft grow box, ill be pulling a half pound every 56-60 days of skunk #1

Those big CFL units pack a lot of lite don't they. I've three 65w CFL but

regularly use 6 - 42w CFL to veg 4 plants. I just look in awe at the big CFL

in your avatar. As long as heat is controlled its interesting how much lite

we can pump into the plant and watch it grow Big Fast. Your box is

intense, huh. Yield tells the story, you get a big yield! More power to you.

Do you have a CFL Thread? Considered it? Could help some people.

if you look in the micro section under My Bud Smell Like Cat Piss!? i have some pics of my setup on page two. i only have one gurl in there now 16days into flower only 6 55w CFLs cuz theres only the one gurl had a bad female to male ratio. hoping for 2-3 oz happy with two. cant wait to up grade my box when this grow is done, more lights, sog of 60 plants hoping for 20-30 female.

If you're interested in lowryder and its variations i've got a few threads around on the subject.

I started with LR1 and crossed it with a couple different things, i haven't tried any of the "commercialized" hybrids like masterlow, powerstout, etc, though. They're on my list I just cant afford them.

i had an idea for a led micro setup i was thinking about. check it out...

LED/rubbermaid micro chamber-

-Chamber-23-30 gallon (about 32"h x 28"w) rubbermid storage box w/lid and small venting with mylar interior.

-Lighting-710 led 30watt full spectrum panel mounted to the the inside lid. one 250 led 16watt panel on the right wall and another on the left.

-Medium- coco coir sog or scrog w/organic nutes.

what do you think? enough leds? i may add a large pc fan for air movment also. is having an expectation of 15-20g colas out of the question for a setup like this? hehe.. go on, bring me back to earth.

also is it a possibility to train the tops to grow horizontal along the top lid. but they would be touching the leds. wouth that even work?

Greetings jonnygotah. Industrious young man you are, huh. Part of

determining the yield is which strain of MJ are you selecting? Some strains

yield much more than others. Not a bad idea for your grow chamber.

The maximum number of LEDs is best. Surround the plant. Should do

well. But get a high yielder! See what the other guys think. Good Luck &
