POT-NEWSFLASH from Wash. D.C.

President Bush announced amnesty for all pot only prisoners.

(ACP) American College of Physicians announced statement of the group to

use Pot for prescriptions. This is the second largest group of doctors,

second to the AMA. Aprox 150,000 members. This should pave the way. eh.

Sproutling. & Hazelnuts.

Greetings guys. Nice to see you both here. I'm psyched about the plant

growth rate. I just remembered something important to say about the nugs;

they are more potent than HID bud.

i come with more questions :jump:

dav, is there a difernce in the dencity of panel vs socket led light? it seems the socket type would focus the light in a narrow spot where as the panel wound envenly distribute light all around. is this a false theory? are the panels equely effective as the socket type that you are using?

the ufo and procyon 1000 don't have many leds but are 90-100 watts. they are also in the $600 range. a bit out of my budget. is there a cheaper alternative to those units? i found a a 700 led panel but i'm not sure about the watts. the site didn't list the wattage. i thought the 700 led panel was nice. two panels is 1400 leds. panels just seem like the natural choice for micro sog. can i make up for low wattage by adding more leds?

peace and keep up the killa work

Hello there my good man. And how are you today? I'm trying to remember

to use two spaces after a period. I'll do my best with the answers. The

diodes themselves each has a lens which focus or spread the light. So

usually it doesn't matter if its 'socket' type or panel mounted. Use watts.

Use a lot of diodes. I'm not too technical, as you see. Also should mention

that they work well in combination with other lights. So if $ is tight, could

mix in CFL. I think that the LEDs I use cost less than the others. Check

them out. :cuss:

Greetings soul brother. I trust you read the news; legal marijuana is

getting closer! Maybe they'll ease off of Marc Emery now, too.

About the pot plant here, I've grown LR2 in the past - in both HPS & LED at

the same time, and compared the smoke from the two. LED bud is more

potent pot! I don't know how come. But thats the story. :fsu:

I'll do my best to answer: Its an autoflowering plant, just turn the lights on

and grow. They are from LEDGrowLights.com and they cost about $100.

each for the 180 diode red array. Then there is the 60 diode Blue and the

90 diode Red array in reflector flood PAR housing. These two are about

$60. each. They really concentrate the light intensely. They are barely

warm to the touch. I have a small exhaust, 65 cfm. The drobe stays at

room temp. If its a girl, we'll be alright.

thanks for the input man. sure apreciate it my good fellow man. enjoyin some hi-mid golden popcorn nuggets at the moment. ....not kind but basicly as high as mid can get :rasta:

Holy crap that is a lot of lights. Do i count 13 individual lamps? That must have set you back a few dollars.

I love the nice x ray picture they give of the roots. I bet its almost impossible to light proof against them.

How much total have you spent on everything that is illuminating her?

Not all at once, but yes. Things do have a way of adding up on ya'. huh.

It is my hobby. eh. :rasta: Actually I didn't want to lightproof the

rez. It is my belief that the roots are not bothered by light. No one else

thinks so. But I haven't seen it in any books, and I read a few on growing

marijuana. It was over a thousand for all the lights. A little over. Thank-

You for writing.

Greetings jonnygotah my man. As long as you're enjoying yourself. Its

good. Keep on with the gold popcorn. :headbange

Yeah I hear that.

I feel the same about lightproofing, I've never noticed any underdevelopment. I was growing in a white 4L milk jug a few months ago they loved it.

My suspicion is that the roots probably do grow away from the light, but are not stopped from growing by it. I imagine if a big root was 1/2 shadowed hairs would be more likely to emerge on the shadowed side. Of course, the roots will still thrive the same if there is no "shadowed side". Although roots naturally follow gravity, hairs grow in all directions, i imagine if you uncovered a root it would not attempt to grow any upward hairs whether it was kept moist or not.

Greetings to you. Let me tell you about the simplest hydro set up I ever

saw; it was on the counter at the bank. A glass bowl that held the plant

somehow and the roots just dangle into the water. Thats it. Thats all. In

clear glass. :rasta:

Hehe a fun grow you have there. Got to love those LED threads...

The only point in lightproofing your tub is to prevent algae growth which eats up your nutes. That's all that i've read over the years..
