Yeah that was my first time trying a metal halide, and I think I might try a hps with this strain in the future to see if I can tell any difference.

For nutrients all I give them is flora nova 1 part nutes. I feed strains different amounts it depends on the strain because they can vary so much. this link is the best explanation of how I decide how much to give them. I just would start at a much lower EC than 1, probably more like .4. My peak flower ppm for these girls was about 700 ppm @ 0.5 conversion.

hi everyone. just posting up my cab grow. 400 watt hps with a few nirvana masterkush from clone in hydro. this is about day 40 and smell super skunky and fruity. hints of pineapple in there. EC is running at .9 on .5 scale.

Update. So I had that Sativa thing growing like crazy. At harvest I got three normal chunky nugetted plants and this wispy budded sativa thing. Started my next seeds which were donated from friends because my order didn't make it in time from seed bank. Let the monster have some extra time then chopped it.
Decided the only thing to do with the 1/3 pound of wispy buds I got from the sativa was to make some bubble hash. So being cheap I ordered a cheaper version of bubble bags, we'll call these bubba bags. Now of course I only got the 5 gal three bag set which has like a 220, 75 and 25 micron screen.
The first two drained fine and the hash in the second bag 75 micron is good. the 25 micron bag didn't drain good and I could see water squirting out the thread holes. The hash in that bag looked good but it looked like a large part might have squirted out seams.
So I let the water in bucket sit over night and next day siphon water off top. When I got to bottom of bucket I coulsd see the golden trichs on bottom. Put the quart of trich water into last bag and the water level stayed below the seam in bag and I got about 4 grams of hash I would have poured down drain. The second time I ran it the third bag didn't leak as much. I think the trichomes are sealing the seams in bag.
All in all I got about a film container of bubba hash and am happy.

Icoughtogetoff, I have to ask where you purchased those seeds. I have wanted to grow BMR for a long time now and want to get the real deal. Also, how well do they yeild? Looks like yours yeild pretty well, especially for a 400. Thanks and great grow!

Hey TGT, I wish I could tell you a place to buy them but these were F2s a friend made and gave me. Otherwise I'm not aware of anywhere they're for sale, unless maybe someone makes more seeds and puts them on seed auction sites or something.

And yes they did yield fairly well, or at least the one on the right did. She weighed out to about 4.5oz. The two plants on the left I saved only the dense buds and made hash with everything else. I didn't weigh that out but I'd say I probably kept about 1.5-2 oz from them (one of those two plants I used entirely for bubble hash)

Sumo, I finally dropped some money for some bags too though I got really lucky. I went to my local hemp shop to buy the 3 bag kit but they had the 4 bag for about $40 cheaper, at $110! It must have been a typo but I jumped on it. My 4 bag came with the 220, 160, 73, and 25 screens. Here's some 73u bubble hash I made with my second batch from this harvest

Heres my shitty first crop goin in my cab . . . Got one sadhu on the left and an MK on the right, (bad Idea flowering these 2 strains together lol noob mistake) just flowering out these ladies to get rid of them cuz Im switching to micro moms, these two didnt get much tlc for a few months before flowering so Im battling some issues (ph, cal and mag) but its better than throwing them away right???

ya my cab isnt a perfect masterpiece yet, i could do some things to make it more eficient but its taking me some time to get it there. lol

Just by looking at your pics of your MK i cant be real sure if its close or not, there are a few different MK breeders causing alot of variations between the different MK's. nirvana is a hindu kush x skunk and then some are hindu kush x hindu kush, so who knows. they do have some similarities as far as the structure of the plant goes, do you have any odors coming in yet?

Wow amazing stuff being done in these cabs. Based on these mills pride cabs, what do you think the optimal size is for a 400w box in inches?

I already have everything minus a bulb and cab. I want to build my own out of hardwood veneer plywood so i need sizes.

Thats going to depend a good bit on what hood you have, size air cooled or not.

I have 400 in a 28.5"x33" cabinet.

After much debate, I'm off to buy the closest equivalant to the C-13.
I will be putting a 250w.
I wanted to go bigger, but I already have a 250w and a 600w. And I'm not cooling the 600w. So I figure take the easy route and less headaches, go with 250w.
Also, I may in the near future set up an additional C-13 with another 250w in it.
I will be growing SOG and will set up another small area for clones, when the time comes.
This way with two cabs, I can stagger harvests to about one a month or so...
This is all for personal use, plus gifts. Which was the biggest deciding factor in going back to my humble begginings as a grower. I was growing commercially for a while, but stopped. Now I want a nice, clean personal grow that NO ONE will know about.
SO!! Off to the Depot!

ARTofMAKINGfire, give us the heads-up on what you get. Last time I went to the local HomeDepot the closest thing I could find to the C13 was a cabinetmaid, or something similar to that, which was a few inch's smaller that the C13.

I found a mills pride at Goodwill for $50 and I've been fixing it up a bit, one problem though is that the doors don't meet each other, there's a gap about 1/3", how should I light proof that? Should I take apart the doors and add something?

I don't think they produce the c24 anymore...though I could be wrong.

Unfortunately, you're correct. While it's possible there are still one or two of them in some store somewhere, I wouldn't count on it. The same manufacturer makes a similar cab called a craftmaid (Kraftmade?) available at HD, Lowes etc.
Ikea has something similar but about twice the price

There should be some screws on the hinges that will slightly raise/lower the brackets from the sides, making the doors closer or further apart. Get yourself some weather stripping from a hardware store and you're set.
