In an unprecedented move, today the Dutch government voted in parliament 22-4 to ban the carbonated "energy drink" Red Bull from sale in all shops in the Greater Amsterdam area.
Minister of Public Safety Hedwig VonDickestsoften was quoted as saying,"Crack is safer for our citizens than this golden poison, and we wish to encourage a turn to hard drugs after witnessing what this "Joy Juice" can do to our young people."
He went on to say that the Dutch government will be making cocaine (both powdered and freebase) available at a reduced charge to all party-goers in the confines of The Red Light District between 9pm-2am.

Those wacky Dutch, what will they think of next??

Crime in the area will be reduced. Fewer pickpockets and petty criminals stealing and robbing to support their habits.

I expect that the U.N. will sanction Holland any moment now.
What's next?
Free baking soda to cook up at the airport??

I'm sure red bull is bad for you, especially in the amounts people tend to drink it in, but a ban... really?

This just doesn't have that "legitimacy" ring to it. It has to be a joke.

....If you cook Red Bull down, and shoot it in your eyeball before sex,is that considered a Bad Thing?

The Dutch Parliament should also consider banning:

Pinda Sauce: is it really necessary to smear this brown slop on everything?

Stampot: do you eat it or use to it as glue to hang wallpaper?

Raw Herring: need I say more?

The Dutch need Red Bull to wash down a meal!

Okay,so nobody tried to google this??
If you did,you got nothing.
Nada.
Zilch.
Zed.
Zippo.

This was a spoof. However,I did it to prove a point:Something like this, while incredible,is not by any means unbelievable, and that's Extremely Fucked Up.
As long as people lay down for neo-conservative government, our rights will continue to erode.
Whether you're in Amsterdam,Spain, North America,or what have you,if there's a neo-con government in power, they're "regulating" how to breathe, every chance that they get.
The longer in power they are,the more of life's minutiae they mean to regulate.
Let's all take a moment and think of the little things that are regulated, and don't need to be.

Amazing,isn't it?
