Vaporizers?

I'm oldschool and have never used a vaporizer.

I'm thinknig it'd be better for my health, but what is the high like? Do you get the full effect? I think someone told me that the high is more cerebal and heady.. is this true? I want my ak47 to put me on my ass, like a joint/bowl does.. can a vaporizer still do this for me?

If so, what is the best quality vap out there?

when i vape the high gets me in a different part of my brain. smokin it my back lobe is where i feel it, where as vapin it affects my front lobe. for that reason i like to toke off both. the other reason i return to smokin is the flavor in the vape all tastes the same... & i like to taste it. as for the health... it is EXTREMELY nice on the lungs. really has me feelin odd after years of tellin myself that smokin it never caused a death. as for a quality vape there are a few. many swear by volcanos...

... ime the bag system is not for me. between the bag vs whip style there are many options all based on preference. i'd lucked out & got to try 1 of each style before gettin a vape brothers. it has proved to be a good starter for me. but as advancements come out many are not compatable w/my unit. things like 2 piece whips that make screen changes/cleanings easier might appeal to you... i wish ya happy findings!

i prefer the whip style, the high is very different.. i find it much less satisfying, however vape wake n bake's and a little coffee are amazing

I have a whip style, and my brother has a Volcano. I don't even use mine anymore because the Volcano kicks me right in the brain. It makes mine seem like a toy, even though I loved the whip before. A very pure and clean high, and it'll knock your socks off. Expensive, though...

IMO the high is better from a quality vape like the Volcano... everyone ha their preferences but everyone I know who has hit the Volcano prefers it to smoking... its just so much better tasting when you are inhaling pure essence rather than combusted plant material and if you're doing it right the high is so much nicer as you only feel the cannabis and not all that other crap you are inhaling

edit: just make sure you have decent herb because the taste is much like the smell... good dank tastes better than anything in a vape but shwag still tastes like shwag!

edit#2: hey asa, you have a Vapor Brothers right? You said you hooked it up to a bubbler, did you get a "hydrator" attachment for the Vapor Bros? It comes with a glass on glass fitted whip, an essential accessory for the Vapor Bros. With the hydrator I use my hands free Vapor Bros about as much as I use my Volcano. The hits are ultra smooth and more than adequate when I'm only in the mood for one or 2 hits rather than having to inhale a whole Volcano bag which sometimes overwhelms me if I'm still tryng to function for the day :)

Looks good Babba!!Damn they get quit the dollar for them dont they!I own 3 vaporizers,and to be honest,around here they are novelties......9 out of ten times its easier to just load the bong or wrap one up,thats just me tho. :rasta:

Hey S4L, tell us a little about your experiences with the VaporGenie...

I went to the site and poked around a bit, but I can't get over the fact that is isn't electronic. I mean, the thing looks like a standard issue wooden bowl. Is it really that much better than smoking?

1st, forgot to explain of the 2 styles w/ whips you draw your toke where as w/bags the machine does it, fillin the bag up then ya take ya toke from the bag. i thought the toke tasted stale, but am the only person to think this... coarse i dont know why babba also doesnt care for bags.
thcbound yup got a VB but i just taped a straw to my bubbler & attached the whip hose to the straw... based it on the hydrator. i want one!

i 2nd this motion, i've owned my genie for 2 years now & i like it more & more each day. its good for the road or anytime i dont feel like lugging my cano around. i also like the genie because it gives you a GREAT taste profile when trying out new weed.

for people who havent tried vaping yet & want to try a cheap good vape- go with vapor genie!

i also support the genie. i have a SSV and a Genie, i use the genie more often. heres what i like about it
its small, i can take it anywhere and puff on it anywhere because it doesn't smell i've even gone to the bathroom when working and toked rite then and there with no problems. and because it small its concealable.
its durable, ive dropped it kicked it and just beaten the hell out of it and it still works amazingly.
it helps me concerve my herb else ill go through it way to fast

and its cheap, if your a skeptic about vaping get it and play around with it, theres a bit of a learning curve to using it, meaning it takes a while to figure out the right height to hold the flame and how hard you need to inhale so you dont burn your herb but once you figure it you amazing.

I've been using a vaporizer since 2002 or so. I started off with an Aromazap and am on my third one. It works really well and tastes great. I've used ones that come with bags and it always struck me as a little bit gross for some reason. The Aromazap is relatively cheap, round $100 or so shipped if I remember correctly. They are pretty durable I suppose, but the wire on the AC adapter tends to wear out first, then the heating element gets a little loose, then the solder joints break.. Like I said though, I'm on my third one because it looks and works well. Just don't be surprised when it wears out with heavy use.

just ordered myself a volcano
have gone for the digital version,stung the pocket slightly
but heard nothin but good vibes about them

im a joint smoker , going for the healthy option now
