Beowulf, your thoughts

I thought it was one of the most creative amazing movies in a long time. The main monster was ridiculous.

Only thing that was lame was anelina jolie and her horrible accent . Other than that this movie is a must see!

Lets try not to give too much of the movie away

I read the story in English in Highschool... pretty good.

As for the movie... I didn't like the idea of it, as it is an animated feature...

I prefer real-life acting without too much CGI or special FX

I thought it was ok. It took me a while to stop trying to pay attention to how realistic they did or didn't make things look and move with the cgi but I was stoned so that probably explains why I was doing that.

Good to hear you guys liked Beowulf. Was thinking of picking it up today at Blockbuster but ended up getting Michael Clayton instead and a friend picked up a bootleg of No Country for Old Men so gonna get to watch em tomorrow. What do y'all think about those two? Will definitely pick up Beowulf when I return MC. Take care.

whats beowulf?

I'll give you a summary soon. Not sure if you'll like it or not being you're not much on history, but it delves in history/mythicality and moralism.

But back on topic:

I really liked it. I honestly didn't think I would being it had so much CGI, but since the story itself dealt with so much 'fantasy' it sort of fit. Saw it in theaters in 3D which was a trip unto itself really, and even though it sort of embellished on the tale a bit, I felt it still held true to the main morals of everything. Also it sort of holds (basically) true to my own personal ancestory and the belief in never giving up, no matter how much you may have fucked up!

I thought it was pretty damn good. Sure the written texts had their advantages, but the visuals of this one were awesome and better than imagination for me. Just my thoughts.

I didn't really get into it, but then I didn't really get into any of the Lord Of The Rings movies either. I think if you like LOTR there's a good chance youll like Beowulf, and likewise if you didn't like LOTR you probably won't like Beowulf

No Country for Old Men was an excellent movie, I watched it on Joox a while ago and I will definitely be buying the DVD March 11th or whenever its supposed to come out.

Javier Bardem basically made the movie for me. It was really easy to immerse myself into the story and it kept my attention the whole way through.

As for Michael Clayton... I've heard it was good but I'll probably just end up renting it or waiting for it to come on HBO or something, not really too interested by it.

I watched it at home and we could not tell for most of the film that they were not real people. Like I said that Grundle fella was one of the most amazing monsters I have ever seen.

Wow, just finished watching NCfOM. What a movie, whew! Wow....yea Javier Bardem was amazing. Wish Woody Harrelson would've lasted a bit longer hehe but yea if you haven't watched this movie yet people, you are missing out. There's no way Michael Clayton is going to live up to this tonight so think I'll watch it tomorow instead.
