Fish Emulsion

Hi,

Does fish emulsion make soil more acidic or less acidic?

Thanks,

i use alaska fish sometimes, lowers my water ph from 7 to 6 at a rate of 3 tbl spoons per 5 gal. this would lower your soil ph a bit. just keep your water ph between 6-6.5 and you shouldn't have problems it's a great fast acting fertlizer

Mine is from Sensi in NL. Would you know what the NPK rating is with fish emulsions?

Answer: Soil reaction is Acidic.
Works fantastic, it's all my ladies get with the
exception of some Epsom salt if needed.
I use soil/perlite 50/50, straight pro-mix bx or hp or soil/p 50/50/pro-mix mixed.
I don't pH in pro-mix the others you should.
I'm still lucky & don't have too do that either.

I have a oil and perlite mix. But perlite is hard to come by here. And the mix doesn't have all that much perlite in it. Never near 50-50! I The mix is very rich, ciontaining all things plants need, it comes from a growshop. But the mix is very hot, especially for seedlings and young plants.
I think I should leech the soil before even using it.
5-1-1? I see, thanks for that.

Does it say on your bottle how much to use per gallon? Mine does, well, per bucket of xx liters. Try and recalculate that if you water just 1 liter or 25 cl each time.

I calculate it all in ml then.

i used to work with this old hippie he only used fish emulsion to water with and WOW
when i puffed with this dude i was always careful to take the exact hit cos of how much i would cough... Now idk if this was because the fish emu or wat but dayum any strain he grew made me friggn cough to no end.. I know he also grew in MG soil all his stuff was from mullet mart aka wal mart... I know there are people some that will frown on that but his puffage is tastey and expands its frosty burns nice.. So anyhow it took me prolly more than 3 minutes to type this.. lol bogglegum... just about the end of it... but, mmm good.. peace..

EDIT: I forgot to mention when i visited his garden's GH or indoor his plants always looked healthy dark green with no apparent deficiencies... Not to say he never had any idk that.. peace..

Well, perhaps you have a sensitive throat dude. You know, most americans share what soils they use and what nutes and all but those brands we do not have here in Europe. Although I saw some Miracle Grow stuff at the hardware store plant department so ti seems they are moving onto our market with some things. Forgot what it was.

No point to this message really.

I think I am gonna try using only fish emulsion. Or perhaps divide between using tha only and some plants using other nutes. Just to see the difference.

Is that a good thing though ? I like potent weed, but I'd rather not be coughing my lungs out after every hit.

:joint:

5-1-1 fish emulsion is the shit.

Do it half strength and save your money every watering.

Put a drop or two of THRIVE per gallon and forget about it during VEG.

You are set.

Screw all other products....go natural and go fish. :rasta:

I use it too but found it can be too much N for N sensitive plants. Makes them leaf curls.

If you use it a half strength, you are good to go. Always. Even the most sensitive plants will love the half strength fish emulsion cocktails.

If you do this then no worries but make sure it is half strength. That is the key. It stretches your supply of fish emulsion as well.

My leaves are dark green and perky as though the plants have an erection in veg.

There are more than a few who think that using fish and seaweed extract is better than fish alone....

the seaweed adds K and micronutes.....
