Wow, this thread is amazing!

Picked up some fert. yesterday from Lowe's. Shitty selection, but this super bloom stuff seems to be working out really well. Taking a road trip to a hydro store soon about an hour away. Nearly 3 weeks into flowering, kids are looking good and on track for a decent yeild. This was my first solo attempt and I've got 6 females going strong. I started a second bin to try out 12/12 from seed, but I'm probably going to move a few of the lights to the first bin for better production. Pics to follow soon. :tup:

ok, it's thursday, as promised a small (maybe not that exciting) update.

this is my nyc bagseed (piff?) at about 32 or 33 days 12/12. hoping mr. tristate would be able to see similarities in the one he has. or if anyone else notice the growth pattern and structure and has seen true piff.

xoox, she def has sativa traits to her, probably a 70/30 mix.
a full blood sat will have long thin fingers on her.
either way, looks nice so far.
the way she's putting on flowers slowly makes me think your in it for about 12 weeks if not more.

yeah frank, def. the initial seed run went 90 days from first seen pistil to harvest, but it was ACTUALLY 122 days or so total of 12/12 incl. a 1.5 week veg from seed altogether. it took her 27 days of 12/12 before she showed her first pistil. she ended up being a little over 4 ft tall!

clone runs much more to normal specs, 2 weeks veg, 65-75 days 12/12, good enough to be done.

now that shes a clone i took her at 77 one time, and 70 the next time, same buzz if you ask me, and better then the seed run.

so 12 weeks is 84, maybe this time i'll let her go longer, just as a test. but by 45 days she will start getting noticably fat all those white hairs that don't have plump calyx yet will plump out. it can even be smoked, and if you were cash cropping i bet this is when you'd take it too,

at about 60-65 days or so the buds really dont seem to get any bigger. maybe this go i'll try 84 days and monitor the trics. the buzz if you smoke too much is a little confusing for a while the later you take it, you just can't quite figure out what your doing or where you are sometimes, disorienting to say the least, wonder what it would be like at 84.

PhillyPride - much obliged for your input- greatly appreciated. I'm very anxious to germ those Kali Mist beans, especially because of their age. I'm aware the pre '01 beans are wanted now, but I don't know the reason. (These were bought in 2003.)

I know it was 'reengineered' in 2000 reportedly to increase yields. If you don't mind, please fill me in.

Red_Nine - I appreciate your input, too. I'll try to find out if this Kali is pre '01 and let y'all know if it is.

xOOx - Yes, I'm hoping this bagseed turns out to be decent stash. I've heard several times that even mediocre bagseed, if home-grown with care, can turn out to be pretty decent. A roll of the dice, I guess.

The good camera's broken, so I had to dig up the point 'n shoot, but I got a few humble photos for y'all. We gotta start somewhere. Nothing exciting, really.

What has to be the simplest, most fool-proof, set-and-forget way to clone. Dense cluster of fine roots in 10 days. The photo was taken at 7 days...




My DIY ez cloner... similar to InjectTruth's, but smaller. (Haven't really got a use for it now, though...)


After 14 days, 'roots' (if you want to call 'em that) on male test cuttings (granted, the temp was out of wack)...

whats up all, the WW seeds came today, gonna germinate them tonight. I had a quick question, what would be the optimal distance to start my T5 away from the seedlings, and how long should i keep em under there til i put em under the 600w mh?

Once they sprout, I put the fluoros right on 'em-- about an inch away. I wait for my seedlings to get a little hardy, about 10-14 days before putting them under the MH.

I'd put 'em about 20"-24" away from that 600 to start and if your bulb is cooled, you could probably go 18" as they get used to the intensity. Of course, you always have to use your best judgment. If it's too hot for your hand after 20 seconds, it's too hot for your plants.

No problem Phillypride I will try to get some pics for ya......im also pretty sure one is just starting to flower now....also a cross of dreamgoddess and mtf is also on the way too...still in seedling form but looking very nice.....its being called wetdream....lol....dreamgoddess is no slouch either.....very very frosty ....very resilant plant and also has purple phenos that show up on occasion too.....purple buds with green leaves.....

first of all, great nick lol
second of all,
i leave my seedlings under flouros until they form the first set of 5 finger leaves, usually about the 3rd node give or take.
the closer the flouros to the youngins, the better. it helps keep stretch down when you really want it to, in the early stages.
otherwise if them lil ones reach too much, they get out of control lanky later.
my
