I pinch those off when they get yellow. When you pinch off those first two set of leaves it will send more energy to the top. They call it lolli poping, anyway looks like it would work for you.The light isn't getting down there enough anway I think, also I would pinch the leaves off up to the first set of lil puffs up there under the string ya dig?o 2x 42=84 not 107correct me if im not seein sup thing.?

its 2 42w and 1 23w for a total of 107watts. My case is 24''H x 15"L x 7.5"W so its close to 50w per sq foot. Next time around i'm redoing the lights and adding another 23w buld for a total of 130watts. also adding some real plexi glass to help keep it a bit more cooler in there...i dont think my ghetto heat shield is really working!!!

I added some PureBlend last night and watered them...by the end of lights on they were both perky again...so it looks like they are responding well to the nutes, but i'll know for sure when i take a look at them tonight.

Really quick... you talked about pinching the bottom leaves, im not sure how i would go about doing this!!! sorry for the n00bness this is my first time!!!

Can anyone tell me the reason behind the yellowing on the bottom leaves? Is it because the plant is using its own nutrients? I haven't given them any nutes yet...but i'll start tonight with some PureBlend Pro Bloom.

Yellowing cotlydons are a sign that the plant is hungry...
Go ahead and start feeding with a light dose of nutes.

Don't bother pinching the leaves, they'll shrivel and fall when they're ready...
Keep those pics coming...

hduce you should get a cab that is at least 3 feet high, believe me i know i am in a short cab like u. also its best to splurge and buy a cooltube, its worth it. you should also be either LSTing or scrogging since u dont have much vertical space, if you LSTed properly you should have at least 15-20 budsites all the same height.

Hey man I think the plants look good. You can probably still try to tie them down a bit just to even the growth out.. unless they're too far into flower then i guess it wont matter as much. Maybe next round you can get some different containers for the soil that might use the space a little more efficiently to give your plants a little more root area. Might be worth keeping your eye out for some good little plastic storage containers or something. But otherwise I think things look pretty good! I wanna see what you get!

1/28/08 UPDATE:

1/28/08 UPDATE:

Wow!!! It's been sometime...

GOOD NEWS is that both girls have made it through! I WILL have pictures up tonight of the first girl that i cropped last night. But for now here's a little info on what's been happening.

I believe this thread started with me saying that this was my first grow...I did do "some" research before beginning but i really went into this one blind!!! By blind I mean I was literally handed seedlings (that were already growing), plugged in my lights and fans and let them go...of course i did upgrade the box as the grow went on BUTmy lighting was a bit off, the plants were waaaaay to far away from the lights (this hurt me good damnit!!), and i was fighting OUTRAGEOUS (95-104!!!) temps up until the last three weeks or so...

All in all my 2 babies were really stressed :badday: (1 is really leafy/airy and 2 is a bit smaller but way more dense)

This is the way I'm going about harvesting/curing these puppies:

Plant 1: (this is the more leafy/airy plant - highly affected by the heat it seems)
-cropped/trimmed last night (wet weight = 21 grams)
-hang dry until stems snap (about 5 days)
-put into glass jar for 9 days (burped every day for 10mins)

Plant 2: (this is the smaller, denser bud - has way more crystals than plant 1)
-this one will (currently) be given a 48 hour dark period
-then cropped/trimmed (wet weight = unknown yet)
-hung to dry for 5 days
-put into glass jar for 7 days (burped everyday for 10mins)

I'm curious to see if there's going to be a difference in taste...but with a short cure like mine i don't know (hopefully the dark period will do something)

I'll take any suggestions!!!

As for the next "go at it" I plan on really fixing this box up! Lighting will be changed from 88w(cfl) to 168w(cfl) (I plan on vegging this time around), soil will remain the same (FFOF), huge passive intake, plexiglass, and scrog

I will, should have some pics up tomorrow after this dark period ends...we'll see hopefully she's ok!

This one got a little big...I think with proper conditions it really could have done more...but eh, live, learn, grow!
