First off, welcome Gratephul4THC! Hope we haven't scared you off w/ all this hot dog talk! Looking forward to seeing what you got going!

It really saddens me to see such committed canna growers like budluver and calyxlover departing here. They will sorely be missed. I believe their actions are more statements than security issues, as they left all @ once w/ krome & OFR. CL gave me sorta a heads up, but I didn't think they'd delete their accts.

Hi everyone thanks pothead2, herbal essences, The Vermonster, Lune TNS, reefa cheefa, and highlighter for the friendly welcome. I am still unable to post attachments so i can't show you what i have going on but i'll give an update.

- 9 Basic Kush cuts that have been sitting in the bubble cloner for 7 days; 7 of them look healthy and 2 seem to be really week. I changed the water once and will change it one more time tomorrow.

- 6 plants that are from 5' 10" - 6' 2" tall under a 1000 watt HPS light in 5 gallon buckets. Today is their 29th day in flowering, and they have about 50-55 days left. Today i feed them light doses of Monkey Juice A+B bloom, Liquid Carboload, Liquid Karma, Big Bud, Emerald Shaman, and sweetleaf. (I grow using coco)

- 9 rooted clones about 3 weeks old, sitting under a 400 watt MH. Yesterday i gave them a light feeding of MJ A+B grow, voodoo juice, liquid karma, emerald shaman, and foliar sprayed them with some VHO. After this i decided i was going to finally take a chance and play around with these plants, feeling i have enough grows under my belt not to mess up. So what i did with these was just bend them to the side and restrained them so they they could'nt grow straight up again. Basically i am trying to keep this stretchy sativa bushier, and i want to see if all the nodes in between start growing straight up so i have multiple colas. Once i throw them into flowering i am going to place some chicken wire about 12 inches above them and try out this screen of green method i keep reading about.

Any advice on what i am trying to do would be very helpful, thank you very much. Peace and Love to you all

Hey bro, nice pics, and sick pipe too. This past grow I tried LST for the first time,and I like it a lot. IMO it's much better than topping/FIM; it's a little more work but it's still not that bad. Give it a few days and those will begin to bush out nicely. Good luck

A quick question for those with 600 watters: how much ventilation would I need in a hydrohut? Would a single 6inch centrifugal fan be enough with an aircooled reflector? I'm looking into grabbing a 600 to flower with, and keeping my 400mh for a few moms and a veg area.

I run a 6 inch 250 cfm inline fan with mine, the duct work only runs about 5 feet, but it works excellent

I am not worried about doing a little extra work i just want to see results.

Herbal essences,

I grew these plants out so tall because 2 grows ago i used 2 gallon pots and grew my plants about 3 feet tall and got about 2 z's a plant (only had 3). My last grow i tried putting 9 rooted clones straight into flowering in 2 gallon buckets with great results but a very low yield (not sure what the total yield is because its drying but it seems like it gonna be less than what i got out of my 3 regular size plants). Then i decided i wanted to try growing in 5 gallon buckets to see what the difference in my yield would be. I thought that if i grew them big in veg i could possibly get a huge yield off each plant, but once i put them all together under 1000 watts i realized none of the bottom branches where getting enough light. I decided of chop off these bottom branches because they would only end up as popcorn nugs. I want to concentrate on the top half of the plants, i don't think it will bring my yield down that much; the only down side i see to it is less bubble hash being made later. I think that only 2 plants under a 1000 watts is good for 5 gallon buckets, possibly 3. If i had down that i would not have had to cut the bottom branches, but seeing as i am going for yield here i want my heaviest yielding parts of the plants getting the most attention.

More than enough. :wink: Variable switch is much needed.

Took down BD #3 @ 95 days and BD #6 @ 88 days today!

Lune.....i have 2 huts both w/ 400 watters in them.....1 has a cheap blower from lowe's(grey/black) and the other has a Stanley blower(2 plugs on it too).....these things work great and are easy to rig for exhaust/intake......i swear by mine and so do others around here.......do a search for stanley blowers on here if interested and you'll see what i'm talking about.....peace and gl.....

Hey vermonster, I was actually looking at those threads about a week ago. How's the noise on those blowers? About the same as a regular fan? They really do seem like a great alternative to stuff from overpriced hydroshops.

Lune, the blowers may even make less noise than a regular fan I would say it's a great alternative to the expensive stuff works very well

I keep mine on high setting 24/7 and can barely hear the thing running........i hear the air expelling out more than the motor on the blower.....lol....get one bro and get some of that sticky metal/aluminum tape buy a front cover to catch the air and rig it to a 4inch hose and you'll have yourself an airtight, inexpensive, quiet, and handy(2 plugs on unit)blower........it's easy to build but if you decide to do it and have questions feel free to pm and ask........peace

Nice, one of those is absolutely on my purchase list. Thanks again guys. I just sold my guitar today, quit playing years ago and now I have a nice 'lil chunk 'o change to upgrade the grow.

PS: If anyone has some suggestions for beans to pop with the alpha d's, I'm all ears. I haven't made up my mind quite yet.
