Well, let me tell you........I unwillingly have seen basically 1 through 7....(what can I say....I'm a junkie....a fiend 
didn't want to, but, had no choice......)....and, man, believe me....it's going somewhere 
.....
Was not HBO sanctioned.....they've been going after the leaks petty aggressively....(They gave out first 7 episodes to media/critics for review, etc.....recipients obviously did not abide by conditions...)...Frankly, a little pissed off they didn't.......
(I watched, but, you know.....monitor and not great sound quality on episodes not the same as 65" with some quality sound, so, will still watch when they come on and probably see more, hear more, etc.......)

i know someone on the cast, and had the chance to get the whole season, but i wanted to remain faithful and give em as many ratings as possible, this show has seriously been slept on by everyone... david simon said they are working on another show but based in new orleans...lets hope it gets picked up.

comcast still hasn't put up episode 3 on OnDemand yet where i live...i'm pretty pissed about

Nah.....that's really strange...although last season they were not all exact.....sometimes was Monday morning , etc....always different time........sometimes 12 this timezone, 12 that timezone...sometimes 3, sometimes 4, sometimes 6...etc...so...I'd keep checking though.......should be on of course....

yeah Julian i was driving earlier today and had the local sports radio station on and the guys in the afternoon always talk about the wire, so today everybody was calling in bitching about it not being on, they had people calling comcast to complain etc....i guess something is wrong their server or something...still not on though i just checked again...i'm on the east coast and last year it usually came on at midnight sunday night....they better fix it soon or i'm going to cancel my digi cable...lol

Missed your post above about Melvin Williams....(Real Life Avon.....)
He's the deacon in Season 4 you know....
(I'm not sure if all one in the same but know Deacon in 4 was real life Avon /inspiration, and that was the one the writer took down.....

I know the story....been there.....nothing compared to what happens(ed) next 20 years though ...
Edit: "Memoirs" are not really for late teens/early/mid 20's individuals imo I like character....I think she's an okay actress.....but...character doesn't seem enough of a stretch to include her in the company of rest of show as far as acting.....(ie: she's playing herself............not like she's straight playing an addict....or British actor playing a member of street crew or cop, etc ....)
I think Jamie Hector (Marlo)also quite lacking.....not impressive...

Did it actually show McNulty biting the corpses?, or is that end end of #52 where he sets up the body, steps back, takes a drink and they fade out? (ie: He needs a drink before he bites the dead guy on the ass......)

T.V. as it should be..a great local production{for Baltimore}.Murder city body more,or was it Body more murder city..?How much ya' wanna bet,the old woman that was murdered in the last episode....turns out to be Omar's gran.I betcha...You know he's goin after them!
Didn't read the thread because I just started season 2, but I have one comment.
Anyone else notice a higher number of gay references in this show than most? Omar and Greggs are both gay, and it seems like while most shows make a point to include lots of titties, good looking women, ect, this show likes to show you a penis or stringer taking off his shirt.
I could care less, but it does piss me off that I've had to see Ziggy's one eyed monster TWICE in season 2 so far (on episode 5).
