Notes above show 1/25 flip putting potential OBG at 10 days already. I would expect her to begin to shoot pistils now. Its a small light but they like it and its fine for testing. New samsung quantumn evo from spiderfarmer.

The F6 cut is drying, I'm not sure she's a keeper just yet i'll wait for the jars. I think the last two were pretty evident at chop though. The 2 others are just starting to pump resin at about 3-4w I will have to check the tag.

Oh Lort this lady has truely outdone herself yet again.

More to follow. This one is revegging. I recommend leaving the bottom 1/3 to 1/4 of the plant entirely intact.

You heard it here first! Reveg tech. Snip the top 1/3 tips of the buds back on that reveg material and they'll revert much quicker. You are removing the flowering hormones and shocking growth outward.

Blessings!

..also remember with revegging, if your plant has viroid, you are selecting for the high load material on lowers to propagate further from...
But if your gal is just outdoing herself everytime, you most likely don't have any...:)

Its a seed pop. I dont keep cuts while testing. :)

But actually, I've been researching Tissue Culture and have been binge watching seminars.

If you are referring to Hop Latent Viroid, it takes 4-6 weeks for freshly plugged cuts to be old enough to test positive. Upon infection the viroid first travels to the root system. The root system holds the greatest viral load. Next the viroid travels to the very top of the plant while later making its way to middle growth shoots.

Bill Graham suggests trying to out run hlvd with successive cuttings and has noted that the viroid is not usually present in all growing tips. Multiple micro clones or apical meristem samples can be cultured and all tested to find one that is clean. They have had success aided by a great deal of testing and using successive micro clones as well. I wont name names but a well known outfit began keeping plants at 55F for 4 days prior to initiation with results showing the lower temperature has assisted them. My assumption is that the colder temp would cause the cultivar to possibly stretch or increase rate of vertical growth assisting in taking clean explants.

I have never kept mom's long term only vegging long enough to bloom and taking fresh side cuttings for many years without seeing genetic drift. DNA is DNA. There are over 100 diseases and infections that can cause plants to be effected with abnormal and unhealthy growth, but not the DNA. This is another reason they are taking TC as it is cleaning the specimen of not just hlvd/fusarium/pythium/mosaic but is a one stop shop for obtaining a completely cleaned cultivar capable of improved performance.

Peace

Yeah bro...I'm working with a TC lab that cleans up stock, since last June, it is a bit more complicated than that but essentially yeah. Though you will find it not in all tops, only in tolerant cuts, of which there are very very few found so far..two that I know of verified in lab as tolerant. Roots highest load, but if tolerant cut and you can have clean tips, the lowers will be full of viroid generally. Though thinking one can veg away from it with subsequent clones, is a real shot in the dark. You can yes, but the chances are very slim, and you can only in a tolerant variety. You can find explants that might test clean, but in reality most of those are only non detectable range and will eventually grow out dirty again. That said, you can knock the viroid levels back to almost not affecting plant, and takes up to 6 months to return to full load, so one can perpetually keep fresh moms and limits its effect on your production, which is what we did for years and years blissfully unaware of viroid. TC though is the future agreed.

Last 6 months of growing is like it used to be 20 years ago, when weed was a weed..the vigor! Fuck viroid! I thought we'd just inbred weed to be weak ass hahahha. LOL.

The males appear more narrower leaf and more what I would call cinderella morphology in the leaves. This ladies structure and branching are also what I would want to see. Only time will tell. She's small but lets have a looksy shall we?

I found these quotes in the "Brothers Grimm...Strains and Info..." thread here on Icmag talking about the terpenes of P88 (variety created by the 3rd back-cross to the mom of Cinderella 99, Princess, from which the father for the 4th back-cross known as "Cinderella 99", was selected):

"The flowering plants smell like fruity cotton-candy." - Mr. Soul

""If its Fruit Punch that you want, you should check out "Cinderella 88"....I've smoked the mother that this is the backcross of, and YEEEEHAW she kicks ass. The smell is very similar to the Hawaiian... think back to when you (ok I) was a kid... remember Bubbalicious? Or Hubba Bubba chewing gum? Think about the tropical fruit flavor, and there ya go-- thats what it smells like... A sickly sweet fruit punch gum, a little undertone of "stink" to go with it. A first class high too... (Not to turn this into an advertisement, just a recommendation, but I've personally tried this strain and it will do it for you just like the Hawaiian)." - Shabang

From those quotes, it appears the flavors of the fruit punch pheno LostTribe and others have been breeding, growing and posting pics of here and also the original Cinderella 99 F1 clone LostTribe shows in the post above (which I think smells and tastes mostly like strawberry cotton candy) are likely coming from the male P88 that sired the Cinderella 99 seeds, rather than the pineappley "evil" terps of the mother, Princess.

The P88 male used to create Cinderella 99 is also probably the source of some of the wider leafed phenos found in the original seeds and their progeny.

Just some observations on the various qualities of the authentic Cinderella 99 as I see them unfold in this thead.

Each generation is the result of crossing a male from the previous generation to Princess herself (incestuous, I know).
Blow-by-blow description of the generations:

P.50 = Heavy, single-cola type plants with mellow high (too much influence from the ShivaSkunk) Sweet fruity scent/flavor. Unstable in most traits - for example, 10 days difference in fastest/slowest maturation period in a group of 20 seedlings.

P.75 = Plants leaning MUCH more in the direction of Princess in floral cluster and bud structure, scent/flavor turned more "tropical" like pineapple. The stability was becoming better - two major phenotypes; short & dense (potent too) or tall/HUGE (Not so potent).

P.88 = Renamed Cinderella 88 when first released on the market. It grows fast and produces excellent yields of FROSTY buds in 7 weeks! Generally uniform seedlings with minor differences in floral formation and some height variance, but the smoke is quite consistent from all plants - Dense, heavy nuggets of fruity scented & flavored (like wild berries) and covered in resin glands, the dried buds have distinctly ORANGE pistils.

And now P.94 = Cinderella 99. This project has been a huge success. The strain has been embraced by the "net"work of growers with rave reviews.

The Bros. Grimm too have been recognized for their excellent combination of quality products and unparalleled service after the sale. There's NO OTHER seed bank that has it's breeders on the net answering questions from "newbies" 40 hours/week, and the info is first-rate; even details of their breeding strategies are openly discussed so that the seed buyer can feel well-informed about the products BG offer.

I personally think the plants these Cinderella 99 seeds produce are every bit as good as a cutting from Princess herself (or better). I say better because the flavor of no two plants is "identical"; there's a personality to all living things. Like Princess herself, Cinderella is sweet & fruity to the palette and nose, and when you take a hit you're BLASTED...with the same "racy" high as Princess!
The improvement comes in the yield department; 25% greater yield and a stronger branch structure, which I accomplished by starting with some ShivaSkunk genes in the original father in the cubing process. I knew I'd blend out the majority of the traits from ShivaSkunk in the cubing process, but I was hoping to incorporate the ShivaSkunk's stronger branches because Princess had a tendency to need supports in the final two weeks of flowering. As it turns out, I got lucky and it worked. The name suits the strain IMO - it's a true Cinderella Story. - MrSoul

I figured this would happen. The shorter of the current 2 I am testing smells way fruitier. Have to have another check but today I was pretty sure I am going to be revegging that one instead. The first one is still just waiting there in between transition back. Heck, I'll probably take a snip of the newer one in aero and get her rooting and revegging at the same time. Done it before seemed to work faster than waiting for one of these coco's to revert on its own time.

2 of my F6 Fruit Punch C99. The shorter one in the front smells extremely sweet fruit punch. She is getting revegged asap. Much sweeter than the one I had revegging which is very nice but not as sweet.

Been away for a while LT- last I remembered you had #1 and #4 from Fleur du Mal that seemed like your favorite prospects with 4 being a trippy one.

Wasn’t able yet to read through all that’s happened since then. Is the current F6 fruit punch you are working out of those FdM genetics? Apologies for the laziness in researching old posts, don’t worry about replying if it’s a hassle.

Way to keep up the good C99 work LT. I had a nice P88 back in the day around 1999. Hawaiian Punch with a hint of baby poo, delish. And a high that would often get me paranoid. That was a good lady there, she’d finish somewhere in the 50-56 day range.

They are from Peak Seeds BC which is no longer in the seed biz.

You still run those FdM cuts you found? Or did those get superseded by your current Peak Seeds version?
I let them go shortly after I found the particular Fruit Punch cut in the P1 Stock. I recommend going back to page 1 post #1 which has been updated a while back with pretty much enough info to bring you up to speed on these.

I am going to revegg the recent sweeter one hope it reverts quickly. I might try out up potting but not sure about chopping the roots, I've never had to do that before. I want to take one cut for an aero bucket which might accomplish everything in one go. Just need to clean one and reset. Always keep something with roots before you place all your bets on something without roots.

Have a great weekend everybody!
