I need your opinions on the design

I'm working on my own cannabis cultivation journal, which will be around 10 pages long, and here's a preliminary design for the cover. What do you think?

My first observation was to think it was the cover of a popular magazine.
I find the outer edges a bit dark for my personal preference and a bit wordy but yet it has kind of a professional look about it, nice work, you should be pleased.
