Albany Sour Diesel Clone

Genetic testing will sort the whole provenance issue out real quick.

She's finicky in organics from what I've seen. Prefers cool temps and was selected based on performance using GH three part 🤷‍♂️

I am sending out leaf samples shortly to sequence the following:

Albany Sour Diesel (might be same as Jay P's)
AJ Sour Diesel (looks like the oldest one)
ECSD Chaco
ECSD Amherst (lemon candy no stretch high light tolerance commercial seed pop selection imo)
Tissue Cultured Sour Diesel
Weasel Sour Diesel
Original Diesel aka Daywrecker
🤙

Weasel, Amherst, Albany are the ones I flowered recently.

Weasel, Albany, Tissue Cultured, Chaco flowering now. Adding AJ and Daywrecker as soon as back up clones root.

If anyone has the Rez cut, notsodog, and the skunktek cut I'll tell you who to send samples...
Very nice, should be interesting to see. What can you tell me about the tissue cultured cut?

Who is doing that analysis for you? I’d love to have you toss up a thread here and document your work for those old farts like me that aren’t on social media.

Best of luck with your hunt for what you remember!!

I shall cook up a thread shortly

This is why I've been hearing rumors about the purple sour.

The cloney aka my weasel cut is not the original diesel.

I believe I just received the Daywrecker aka original diesel and it looks distinctly different in veg.

Will get better pics when she grows out further.

Has anyone flowered the 1996 NYC diesel from bens nursery?
I'm happy with it. I think it's the real deal. It's only a tiny bit purple and it was cold, it went long, and I flushed too early.
Ben's nursery sucks. He doesn't test for hop latent and won't even address it. Pretty sure it's the aj cut. Ajs has been going around and people don't really like it.

Please please post the results, should be very interesting. I still think the problem most have with sour is they are used to growing 8 to 9 week indica stuff. You can't overfeeding or overwater sativas bc they'll stall for a week or 2, indicas are so much more forgiving.

I've noticed too that alot of these older varieties don't perform well under led. Probably has to do with being bred under hps, and that's there preference? I swear though it's very true my ssh is a perfect example, thrives under hps and hates led even if it's more watts. Wonder if that's the case with sour d?

HPS is low light and high heat compared to LED wattage

You sure about that my old 1000 watt hps is anything but low light. Damn thing will blind you. Led wattage is misleading you have to see what it actually pulls not what the maker claims. Usually their only a couple hundred true watts

There is some strains who are more finicky than other it's not a indica/sativa problem, some won't perform as well with high temperatures other won't like having cold roots, and today there is almost only hybrids no more pure indica or sativa, ECSD is a hybrid.
I recently switch to LED after many years of HPS and I have not seen strains who did better under HPS compared to LED even with a climate far from perfect, so far the quality is much better with the LED whatever the strain I grow. But you have to relearn to grow under LED, you can't have the same process with HPS or LED and have good results.

Good point but I've had diffrent results I guess with led VS hps. Hps buds were always superior in potency, density, weight etc. Just couldn't deal with that heat growing in a tent. Ya led bud look better, but potency is not the same ime. In regards to sativa VS indica I should clarify tall VS short plants.

Everything is relative when I say high vs low I guess lol

Probably gonna take this soon. I don’t think it’s going to do much more.
Master!

You've done her justice as always. Are you keeping track of days by chance on this one? I have this girl and my Jay_Plantspeaker variegated cut under HPS this run. Vegging up hope to flip soon.

These Sour cuts look as they should when grown under HPS vs the Mars fc-e4800 with the bridgelux chipset. My 250w QB with samsung lm301b's does throw them more like the HPS. But, they looked more compact with less foxtailing and different looking fans under the mars.
I expect the HPS to perform better. My 3 HPS Trees are blowing the doors off the 3 under LED.

Good Growin!
