Hey everybody !

Following this post, here are the germinated regular Green Mountain Grape seeds. 12 pips, 12 seedlings, 100% germination rate. Perfect !

Kinda late for transplantation, though. I've transplanted damaged damped off seedlings with positive results, in the past, so I'm not worried about roots manipulation, like I used to be.

See you within a month, for the cuttings, and start of the blooming phase, in order to to identify male plants.

To be honest I smoke evenless than little these days I just love breeding excepetionaly rare strains of all kinds of plants, and especially upbeat sativa cannabis varieties. I mostly rely on feeds from freinds and family to tell me what they like and why. But it all stems from what I used to like in the expression in my plants and with the help from my friends and my own nose and eyes for what I feel is quality and from what I can visualize from what my plants are expressing, is now my guide. That is why smoke reports are so important to me.

Hi Petzenpete, I grew a few purple and green phenos of GMG last year and ran two keepers (green and purple) this year. What stands out the most with both phenos is their any anxiety qualities. Giggly and soaring without too much heaviness. I never get any paranoia. My green pheno is a bit more zippy and energetic. I think it leans more towards the Mexican side of things with its classic terpenes. I think my purple pheno is a bit stronger in thc. The high is definitely soaring and I find it lasts longer and develops into a very relaxing state without much heaviness/sleepiness. I really liked the green pheno at around 3 month cure and the purple at 4-6 months for both effects and taste. The green lost a bit of the lemon/citric notes and got more gassy/pine pitch notes after 6 months (high was stronger and a bit less energetic). Purple was very fruity at 3 months and a little later it developed more sugar cookie/pastry notes with the grape taste still present. Super tasty at this point and the high is really high quality and long lasting.

Last year I had a lot of different high quality sativas jarred (mostly Ace genetics) that I grew indoor but I kept grabbing the GMG outdoor. It’s just so well rounded and happy.

I forgot to mention that although my purple pheno isn’t as wood/incense forward compared to my green it does leave that old world sativa smell in the room which is really nice (compared to cat piss or skunk). I’m always amazed at how you were able to get so many great qualities in one plant from how it grows (resistance), trimming ease, aroma AND taste, yield, and most important to me…sativa effects (in such a short grow cycle!) Truly amazing.

Wow what a compliment!
My Oaxacan I have carried since the seventies and carry two lines, one purple one green are my work horses. The green has a more pine cleaner citrus boquet and the purple line carries a more lavender slight berry fragrance. The Oaxacan comes through in everything I breed with her. When I cross the Purple Oax with Nepali Sativa and amazing cherry fragrance comes through. And the very early flowering time and pleasant up high combines wonderfully with the Purple Oax. and of course the Purple Satellite. These usually come in by third week Sept. The when I cross into P.S. The Mendo heirloom, the full on Grape comes in. The oddest thing is that the Mendo does not flower until end of Sept Oct. But in the cross the Green Mountain Grape can come in as early as end of August in a small percentage of individuals. I just got lucky with that combination.
I other strange thing when I crossed the Nepali Sativa a very berry smelling strain with the Mendo a very berry strain, both that carry a lot of purple coloration and berry tones. You get plants that flower end of August but no purple, more leafy and not a skunky smell, but maybe a type of musk, nothing I find of quality that I would continue or release.

Very nice! Purple Satellite really influences other genetics in a good way - colours, terps, resistance and flowering time!
