Got those Icon seeds-- DC x Blueberry planted up in a sunny spot in the garden. Quite a few. They are young now, will keep you up to date!

Most of these on the L side are DC xBB

Great! Nothing does it like a good rain! Those are in full sun and are expressing proper form! It may be good to clear more grass around the plants to make room for the roots to grow. Grass will compete with your plants. Not sure how far back but to the dripline of how big you expect them to get would be good! :smoke:

Also could put down straw to conserve moisture and shade the soil.

I actually just removed straw. Bought some black felt to lay down :)

Cool that works, yeah straw is a mess. But would be a benefit to cover with mulch or wood chips to cool the soil.

Growing blueberies, can't wait to see the flowers on those!

Glad you got some mulch put down! Have a little suggestion. Mulch is better for the roots than rocks. I would apply mulch under the plants too.

Rocks are ok but they can impede the root growth, I have seen this in landscapes several times with small trees people planted, where the rock ended up causing the tree to go into decline. Most of the time the rock was very thick. If rock is used it would have to be very thin like only 1 layer of stones under the plant to minimize the impact of the rock to the roots. I would advise not using it though.

Using the mulch will provide 0.5 N and an environment where roots can flourish. :smoke:

More root space tends to help them out of a sluggish growth. Jd used several males and females on 7 of 9 i believe. Dj gave me some of his personal stash of f13 and I got 100% on them. Amazing how long seeds last when stored well. Im working out my breeding plans for next round. It will be focused around b130. I may pop the rest of my original f13 to pollinate with their main male parent donor. That would be a f13 bc instead of what jd did which was f13 f6.
Will you be releasing any f13 bx, f13 S1, f13 f6 in the future? Ive been trying to find some f13 beans for a good minute unsuccessfully. I would love to get my hands on some. I just picked up a pack of your Instablue. Im a fan of your work and your knowledge of blueberry is impessive.

Love the purple calyxes on purple leaves background, looks like a blueberry fruit! Mine even have a smell similar to blueberry! What is the smell like on those? :smoke:
