Just ordered some of his Johnny blaze x blockhead and his blockhead f5 potent pheno selection.

Very excited.

Does he have a ig or anything like that? Seems very illusive

I love BeanHo! I grew a few of this things way back. AK47 F4 was a standout. As was Williams Wonder x SSH. Had some real gems in his mixed seeds as well.

Had a 20 pack of his SSH1xSSH and Mango Haze x Mango Haze that I unfortunately lost in a move and never got to grow out. Quite sad about that new as I finally got a grow going again and am shopping for Hazes and it seems I had some real good stuff on my hands.

I see there is currently Mango Haze x SSH in stock so I suppose a blend of the two will have to do. I have a pack of his Red Congo x SSH on hand so excited to search through that a bit.

He is great with descriptions.

On another note. I was just looking at the Breeder's Retail catalogue of Chimera seeds (missed the sale, darn). Given then list of crosses and similar sort of breeding style................. IS CHIMERA THE BEANHO!? I said it.... its a conspiracy. Could be a side project of his. Or perhaps they are connected in some way. Seems uncanny the resemblance in their menu for some strains.

I guess anything possible but Chimera has said that HD is pretty shady multiple times so I dunno why he'd continue doing business with someone he doesn't speak well of publicly.

Ahhh, I was not aware. Thank you for pointing that out!

He's been on a lot of longer form discussions on YouTube recently, I thought the possibility was real as you until then.

I have thought he was possibly behind cannacopia. He talks about deep chunk a lot.

I don't mean to derail the Beanho talk, but I figure this is all pertinent as many of these Canadian breeders and strains are intertwined and Beanho worked with a lot of the lines.

Chimera definitely had a connection to Cannacopia. I remember him saying he gave them some genetics. I will look him up on youtube. I listened to him on KIS Organics podcast recently and also on the Pot Cast. Really nostalgic to hear mention of some strains.

I love Canadian breeding history. In fact I used the Wayback Machine to look back at seed menus on HD the other day. 2009-2012 era was legendary.

I grew a bunch of Cannacopia gear along side the Beanho stuff around that time and it was all great. Cheese x DC and Genius x DC were two I remember.

Edit: Oh and reading Dr. Atomics past listings again was great

I totally agree. That time was honestly the absolute peak of weed IMHO, especially once you factor in what was available as clones in addition to all the crazy seeds.

Dr Atomic, Joey with all the crosses (BB47, the best) and Cannacopia would shit on what most people are putting out today. The bubba chunk and chunk d were better than either parents, the pallette of foundation provided by Dr Atomic and Joey were unmatched at the time.

If I had a time machine I'd live in a cardboard box and buy every seed pack possible and put them into a freezer. The amount of lines I grew at the time that turned out to be legendary and lost to time was over 75%. Turns out breeders were making the best shit and I have good taste with no sense to go along with no self-made seed lines from that time.

Fitzera Sorry I worded that a bit poorly. I meant re-reading Dr. Atomics old listings I accessed through the wayback machine. Same with Cannacopia. And good tip on Brad being the Beanho. I could totally see that.

quiescent Right? I lost so many good beans from that era in a move and then didn't grow for several years. They would all be quite old by now but I'm confident I couldve got a good amount of them to pop still. Appears Breeder's Retail still has the Chunk D btw. Their sales are over for now but they said they might be active again soon.

This all ties into the Beanho gear currently available. As some of it seems to be last chance at some great older stuff. Johnny Blaze crosses, the 2000s era Mango Haze x SSH (would prefer pure of either to replace what I had lost but oh well), Blockhead, Godbud... Etc

New grow: Beanhoarder
Grapefruit/Blueberry x C99 in the front,
Funky Bitch x F13 in the middle
Johnny Blaze x C99 in back

Started 5 of each in hopes of securing one female apiece to grow out to harvest (a couple seeds didn't make it). It will be a small grow in a 3' x 1.5' closet under a single 315w 4200k CMH. Organic soil mix has been sitting in a tub for while now getting ready for transplanting females into 3.5 gallon pots. Have moved since last grow and local grow store didn't have exactly the same amendments I had used on the previous few runs, so I did kind of an inexact substitution - definitely more chef than baker lol so we'll see how it goes. Currently seedlings are in a base mix of just Happy Frog, perlite, and EC.

Yeah, judging by the couple duds I had out of this recent order some of his stock is definitely getting a little long in the tooth - but that is an incredible deal for quality beans. Someone here with the space definitely needs to do a mass Beanhoarder project!

Seedlings looking pretty good at just under 3 weeks old. So far the Funky Bitch x F13 in the middle row is the fastest growing/biggest, I suspect at least the biggest one on the left is going to be a male, but we will see. Just about ready to top them at the 5th node.

Propped up the Johnny Blaze x C99 in the back, tops are about 28" from the 315 CMH currently. The three of them are pretty similar growth/appearance-wise at this point.

The two Grapefruit/BB x C99 in the middle front are the smallest and seem like typical Cindy-dominant female plants at this stage (tho again, not quite ready to show sex yet), while the one on the left is similar but slightly bigger, perhaps male Cindy-dom or more of a blended morphology, and then the one on the right has fattest leaves of them all, has been the thirstiest so far, and has by far the most pronounced smell on the stem rub at this point - a spicy, buttery grapefruit/lemon juice thing. That one (and to a lesser degree one of the FB/F13s) began to show some patchy chlorosis on the leaf edges a few days ago, which seemed like maybe potassium or magnesium deficit, so I dosed them up with molasses next time I watered and that seemed to halt whatever was going on. At any rate last night I filled the extra space in the cups with about a quarter to half an inch of the fully-amended soil that has been marinating for well over a month now, and watered it in well. The plants seemed almost instantly happier and greener. Next up is topping as they get to 5th node and searching for my three lucky girls to go into the flowering pots. Can't wait to smoke some of my own again. Even with dispensaries everywhere and cheap, strong weed everywhere, nothing else compares.

Here's Beanhoarder's description of these strains from HD website for your perusal:

The Grapefruit/BB x C99 has some magic - I have one that's an absolute monster along with the most sweet & tropical aromas (early flower). Very nice indeed.
Good to hear, Tomahawk!

Welp turns out I have four plants left as six out of ten were male. Unfortunately all three Funky Bitch x F13s ended up being male, so will not get to sample that cross this time. I am left with two Johnny Blaze x C99, which are on either end of the closet, and two Grapefruit/BB x C99, which are the two in the middle. Can only fit three of the 3.5 gallon pots in here but I put the second GF/BBxC99 in a little one-gallon pot - that one has the most potent smell but seemed to have less desirable growth characteristics. Still would rather have a half ounce to an ounce of her than none at all.

I am trying to have this grow done by early December or possibly Thanksgiving, so I have been gradually decreasing daylight hours from 18/6 down 15 minutes every day till now where I'm currently at 13/11 - will hit 12/12 in next few days. The plants were up-potted about a week ago from their basic mix in solo cups to the larger containers of fully-amended soil. Outward growth has stagnated since the transplant, but I am sure the roots have been busy filling out the new soil volume, and they are due for their first full watering (with some Dr. Earth tea) post-transplant, so I expect a surge of growth in the immediate future as they enter flowering cycle.
