Af90 update. Both are bushed out and into flower. Interstingly enough the narrower leaf version is further developed. Do yall think it's ready to accept some pollen???

Also a pot with 3 Laos in there still not showing sex. And two Nanda Devi 2s squeezed in a pot, same deal.

And here's the full size Highland Lao #4 that showed sex over a month ago. It's hard to find a preflower anywhere on it but there are a couple.
Any idea what this leaf is showing?? I think it's overfeeding? My friend doesn't understand the sativa doesn't need as much food but I think he's been feeding it like everything else in his garden.

Great company and great service! Best place to get interesting landraces straight from the source.

Here some pics of their Greek landrace Moliotiko I'm currently growing. Started it a bit late, so not sexed yet. Nice structure, beautifull plant.

^^^^^^

I wanted to grab a pack of Moliotiko but I've learned to restrain myself. I'm happy you're growing it though. Don't feel bad about flooding us with pics and updates 🙂

It'a a bit early so not entirely sure, but on first sight it seems to be a female. Really like the structure, some purple on the leaves and the smell is very subtile. I hope to grow it out to see how it tastes and feels. If I like it, I'll probably do a seedrun next summer.

Sadly, I fried some afghan mix seedlings because they were left out in the sun. 🤬 However, one survived and is seperated at a friend as I think its a male.

This one has already a very offputting faul smell, which is somewhat repulsing to me (maybe "baby puke" or something). I probably collect some pollen anyhow.

What's your latitude?

On the 45th, Nada Devi finished in November. The earliest one was 11/04. It germinated early May, and basically finished 6 months later.

According to RSC, Laos is a 6 month crop. Perhaps Nada Devi is as well? Only one of three actually finished, and the other two germinated much later. By Sept. 19, the one that finished was flowering in what I would I compare to 3 weeks under lights at 12/12.

When did your plants germinate, and what's the 6 month out date?

I have both Laos #4 and Bokeo #2 that I am thinking about running next year. I want to start them on the Spring Equinox, which would put 6 months out at late September, and put the RSC 6 month auto flower assertion to the test!

Interesting stuff to think about.

The stuff I'm running this year (f1's from P1 crosses), I only ran my lights on the seedlings 16 hour days, which is about 25 minutes longer than Solstice up here (15:34 hrs). My plants are not quite as big as years past, but all have initiated flowering. I'm hoping the majority are fully finished by mid-October, with some falling either side.

I'm at 38°N
Plants have been outside since May 1st so that would theoretically have them finishing at 6 months around the beginning of November. To be fair, probably half of the hybrids in my garden are juuuuust starting to flower, while the kther half looks to be a few weeks in. Hopefully I'll get some sort of sign here in the next week or so. They aren't there for yield anyway, if they are good smoke I will grow them next year bigger though!!!

Saw the Laos 4 above. I cloned one standout plant and now have a clone of that one growing. Yeah, I like it. hehe 1970's pot. All up and quite a trip. The Laos 2 is similar.

Smoked a quick dried bud of Dakshinkali 10 days ago and then chopped the plant which is totally dry now. I smoked maybe a similar amount today and got a stronger effect than before. Not killer weed, very subtle, cerebral and imo very Indian in effect. Good stuff. No noids at all which is nice. Bit trippy. Just a few tokes, do not know what a whole joint would do.

I've had a tough time with my late-season planting of Resoli and Nanda Devi. The culprit the damn groundhogs, I'm trying my best. After multiple attacks all but one plants of the Nanda Devi are history , but fortunately the Resoli have recovered somewhat. I have three males about to flower nice and early

im sure rsc meant that in their natural setting they are a 6 month crop from seed to harvest ,
this will not apply elsewhere ...

I've been growing it since 2013 at 49N. It depends on the phenos you get : their date of completion is quite diverse and has been running from late september to third week of november. The relative majority is second to third week of October. All sown early to half june in already spent soil and in ~3gal pots ...

RE: the Moliotiko, I'm mostly interested to find out if it starts blooming before equinox or not.

What would you say the difference in effect between longer and shorter flowering in this gene pool is?

I've never detected a consistent correlation so far between flowering time and effect. You can find all the chemotypes independently of the flowering time for example. (including long flowering dud, it happened one time time). But usually to find correlations you need to take notes which I don't. I trust professionnal breeders do that. What I can say however, is the best Nanda Devi was the Mango Carrot accession, so when I hear about MC tropical strains I'm always reminded of this one. I certainly liked it a great deal and it makes me wonder if those tropical MC aren't eventually of Himalayan origin. But that's another subject :).

Hey lebanizer, you've probably already stated it, but how is the nanda devi ? In grass form, not concentrate. By all accounts, she's a diamond in the rough. Have you got a smoke report anywhere

I've come across this mango carrot profile a lot in my reading. I'm going to say there's something to it...
