Things are starting to come together in Germany . . . slowly . . .

"Germany's coalition government has agreed on a plan to legalise recreational cannabis use among adults.
Possession of up to 30g (1oz) for personal use would be allowed. Licensed shops and pharmacies would sell it.
The plan still requires approval by the European Commission and German parliament. Health Minister Karl Lauterbach said the plan could become law in 2024 . . .

The German plan would also allow home cultivation of three cannabis plants per adult."

fingers crossed. come one come all. eu wide legalization please.
Yes it will be great to be able to carry some weed on you legally, but the 3 plant limit is a joke to be honest. I will keep growing illegally thanks. Not losing any sleep for legalisation in Europe to be honest. It's going to be great for pharmaceutical companies and consumers, but not so much for actual growers or breeders, as usual.

Three plants is not a lot but it's more than a million times better than none.

I don't understand that. The situation in germany will get better. Not perfect for everyone but way better than now
Sure, better for most people but not really for us growers, that was my point. Being able to carry weed legally is great, as I said before.

I'll be really happy when Cali starts sending their excess dried out recreational boof to Germany instead of NY...

3 of these plants became legal on Nov 5th here and I cut the rest down, no biggie. Germans can count.

Why is it not better for growers? Can u explain that please? Sounds like not willing to adapt.
Well I'm definitely not willing to adapt to a 3 plant limit, if that's what you want to call it :ROFLMAO:

You can disagree if you want but the reasons I don't think it's better for growers should be obvious no?

Can't grow regulars, can't keep moms, can't keep males so no breeding, can't make your own seeds so you have to keep buying autos/fems, if you get a runt you're stuck with it, can't clone, can't select, can't grow plants to give away to your friends, being forced to bend over for the auto/fem market in which I don't believe... that's just from the top of my head.

Again, great for my mom because she can have her little auto that looks nice on the balcony, great to be able to buy/sell/carry weed. Great for the medical users. Great for the hype investors who sell products with drawings of buds with sunglasses on a skateboard. Not so great for growers who are passionate and want to learn about the plant. Hopefully I made my point better.

I don’t know …. it all depends on how you grow those 3
that's not quite right... because what would germany be without clear rules and regulations... no matter how vaguely they are formulated.

the plant must be recognizable as 1 plant. should above-average yields be achievable due to genetics or cultivation methods, this vague cornerstone is adjusted accordingly.

an average weight of the plant should probably also be set for this... plants that deliver yields above this limit are then regarded as monster plants... which are then outside of legality.

there will also be limits. thc 10% for 18-21 year olds. above this age the thc limit is 15%. Anything beyond that is illegal.
German laboratories are booming at these times... first corona now cannabis... you should found a nationwide chain of laboratories that only specializes in it... so that money is then made in Germany in a legal way with cannabis... more than the breeders... more than the distributors...

Yes, if what you want is having as much weed as possible. I personally don't need big amounts of weed as I don't smoke much. What I do like is having as much variety as possible, learning as much as possible by comparing plants, finding the best one out of the pack, etc. This is what I personally like about my hobby. Not having a lot of weed. If I want weed I can just go to my friend and ask for some. Growing a plant for the harvest is just a small part of the hobby.

Also, to grow a plant that size for an indoor grower means 10 years of veg :D good luck with the salt buildups after years in the same pot haha
Another great reason to dislike the 3 plant limit as a grower: If you grow indoors it's gonna cost you 3 times as much money and time to get the same quantity. It's just not efficient.

You are missinformed. 3 flowering female plants will be allowed. That means motherplants, making seeds, no forced to autos. Ok it won't be perfect but better than what it is now. And also less complications if u keep doing what u do.

Ah ok apologies if that's the case I was misinformed. That's still not ideal but a lot better. Still far from being able to make selections and proper breeding though.

Right now they say no advertising allowed. ;) But let's not be so negative and wait until it's clear and ready. :) I mean not The Netherlands nor Spain nor The UK made the move right now... but we germans did. ✌️

Only 3 plants!? Then i'll get a much bigger grow-tent and put a cannabis-tree on my balcony! 🤪

Oh Spain will be a lot worse than that I have no doubt. Money and hype are the only things that matter here.

3 plant limit for starters. You know how those things go. They'll loosen the screws as time goes by
