Mextiza was great, excellent resin great tastes quick flower but for me the tolerance build up became too great unfortunatley.

love the airy look of that sativa. It's like they are perfectly designed for a wet, hot environment. Mold will try to take hold, but there is just too much air flow through the center to take a good hold. Cool looking foxtailing too. I love when the foxtails become individual wheat spikes of stacked calyxes. Good work man! More pics please.

^^ That top pic is listed as Acapulco Gold, if I remember right? Is what you have AG? I have been looking for the real thing for a few years now.
The stuff I had was all brown, or gold I guess, almost no green in it. It would depend on how they dry it as to the color, so that is not super important. The effect is all that matters. It was better than LSD, not kidding, no tolerance to it of course and smoked a joint in just a few minutes time.

I share my experience here with Mextiza, i think she deserves it!
Mextiza is a true gem, one of my favorites, both for aroma/flavor and quality of high. I live in a tropical region so i don't specialy need quick lines but this one is on par with long flowering pure sativas, really.
I began my adventure with Mextiza with one pack of the first generation offered by Kaiki, the feminized one that i think was a direct cross between O79 and NepalJam.
Results were astonishing, aromas, flavors and quality of high, the full package. Complex aromas of sweet citrus, incense, fine herbs, pine, grapefruit in some phenos, quite like a fine long flowering haze, really beautifull. And the best is that the beautifull aroma translate to the flavor which is smooth and enjoyable with a texture to it.
I found that to get those fine aromas, it must be grown under the sun, indoor (organic and HPS) she does not delivers those magical aromas. This was under HPS so maybe with a full spectrum led you can get those fine outdoor aromas.
She performs really well outdoor and is to my experience completely immune to botrytis even in high humidity tropical conditions.
Effects are like a true long flowering sativa.
Over the generations i can see two different types of effect. It s always super clear and clean with no bad side effects like paranoa, tachychardia or anxiousness, really satisfaying and pleasing.
Some are energetic but not too much, quite balanced, fun, a bit euphoric but not that much. You can build tolerance on those phenos. For the occasional smoker, it s a very good one.
Some other phenos are very strong and different from the clear energetic fun side effect. Best way to describe it is Reeferman apple pie description (acapulco gold cross to Highland nepalese) "like heroin in a joint except you don’t barf". I never did heroin but i can't help myself but think of this old Reeferman description when i try to describe it. One of the strongest, not wild effect i have enconter. You can just enjoy the effect, you don't need to fight it. It s completely pleasant and long lasting but not energetic/euphoric (nor couchlocky) with no side effects.
So when Cannabiogen sold the second generation, the standard one (backcross to the clone and/or inbreed line?) a few years later, i jumped on it and took 4 packs
with the idea to preserve it.This generation was not as good, lots of deformities in the leaf shape and germination ratio was not great.
Nevertheless i manage to get enough good plants to reproduce it with good genetic diversity and to enjoy on the long term
.Here is a cured Mextiza bud from the repro and the live bud is from a cross of Reeferman Accidental Haze (punto rojo x mexican red hair) with a special lemon pine incence smelling Mextiza male that remembered me Yumbolt of begining 2000's. Pollen from that male reeks where all other stored pollens didn't have any smell except for a sweet carroty Double Congo.

Well bro.... There's a controversy to me to call a certainly strain "Acapulco Gold" for me that name only serves to attract attention and money.. i never heard any person to call Acapulco Gold to any marihuana in my country. But yes, both photos are showing a weed that came from the Guerrero mexican state. I got different strains from that area, so the one of my picture ita the most popular there: "caca de chango" (monkey shit) or "caca de cabra" (goat shit) if that is the one that was known as Acapulco Gold

Many pure mexican strains still alive because the farmers are wise and because they are still so good and easy to grow in those highlands that there is no need for other.
The smoke is really strong, everything get bright and you feel everything as in slowmotion , lots of giggling all the time.
I remember a good friend who was with one of the farmers there in the mountains and told him that one day someone gave them seeds of Jack Herer and other hybrids, they only liked the Jack Herer because it was the most similar in effect and potency to the caca de chango.

No ones really keep seeds of Mextiza and that's a Shame... As you said its a really good work, delicious pure sativa with a very enjoyable effect.
A friend of mine, a very kind person and skillful grower gave me seeds of something called "Mextacy" crossed with Colombian Punto rojo,a work of another great grower and sativa entusiast.. i haven't tried yet but I only heard good things about it! That is like a Mextiza cross but much improved.
save those seeds, they are a treasure now but will be even more so in a few more years

I, however, have extensively tested Barneys "Acapulco Gold" which I believe (?) it is nothing more than a reproduction of Apple Pie for Barneys Farm by Reeferman (?), and I find far more similarities in the description of the effect with pure exaggeration, than in the actual effect with that of heroin....
Although what I tested may have nothing to do with the version you had, of course.

That is what I experienced, but SUPER bright and time went on forever.... No giggles as I was overwhelmed. The best thing was the spiritual effect, nothing has matched it since. I have to stop thinking about 'Acapulco Gold' and think "caca de cabra" instead. I like goats more than monkeys, hehe.

I haven't talked with Kushyman for months I ask him about his Acápulco seeds the last time... I'm sure that he still got it. Recently I talked with good friend of mine who still got it three S1 seeds that i gave him many years ago,but i know who still got it
tell you on GMC. Its a Great tool to breed never ask to Kushy the origin of this one but is really good! Some people thinking that was hybridized but the time that i got it there's nothing about hybrid on it. My final opinión that was its a very selected cut, You can use on those amazing asian works will match perfectly.
