I was really close with Dick Latvala ,whom up until the time of his death was the grateful dead tape archivist ... The grateful dead used to have a series of archival released called dicks pix, now the number 16 dicks pix aka 11/8/69 was my baby , I have credits on that and I was paid for it

That is awesome. I have listened to most of the dicks picks enough times the every note is permanently burn into my brain. Must have been some epic times to be alive. I imagine you may have even known bear. I am not the jealous type. But you tickled that part of me just a little.

Thanks for sharing brother!

Have them dump the hardwood chips to make compost from. Pine chips to put around trees and shrubs. I have a guy like that dropping his chips at my place. Someday it will be good material.

He’ll never admit in a public forum that he actually loves the Grateful Dead:yay:

I have had my face stolen right of my head part way through a 30 minute dark star too. But I didn't hold a grudge. I went back for more.

In the late 1980’s 🐻 Bear used to come to the shows, he was also a craftsman and jewelry maker & used to sell his rings at the shows ..this mysterious figure in a long fur coat lurking around..I was pretty poor at the time but I wish I had bought some of that stuff probably worth a lot of money today

Those billy and the kids shows were pretty good. I felt bad for Carlos Santana though. He only knows his few old tricks and had no idea how to keep up with a group of musicians jamming at that level.

I saw Santana play with all the Marley children in Miami. It was a fun day. Inner circle, UB40, members of steel pulse, most of the Bob Market tribe. Rita Marley did a duet with woody Harrelson. We were possibly the whitest people in the whole crowd. Those rastas all loved our fat joints of homegrown weed we brought with us.
