Issue with the bubbler...

I looked everywhere, even did a search and I couldn't find an answer to this one.

The wife and I have a bitchin little bubbler but we seem to have some pretty significant size buds floating down the the bulb (that's what I'm calling it). Not sure how they got there (toking too hard without a screen comes to mind though), and more importantly not sure how to get them out (preferrably whole and mostly smokable).

I can post pics if necessary for a better explanation. Its due for another cleaning anyway, but we'd like to get the buds out if possible. Any ideas?

Pour the water out... ha

When packing it up again. Try and put a nug big enough to cover the hole that is the downstem joint thing into the water. then proceed packing, none should land in the water.

The water comes out great.... but they don't bring those buds out with it.

I tossed it on my reloading shelf and snapped a pic, here you go.

The thing I'm calling a bulb is the base really. There's two decent size buds in it just floating around. Emptying the water doesn't get them out and I'd rather not waste what looks like decent smoke.

And the chunks wont come out the stem? i would pour it out that way and if not get something small and lure it out.

if you use it a lot those buds wont be worth it...does it have a choke though? get some wire/pipe cleaner and try to pop them out...

wow.. didn't notice the gun and Hitler books.

Oh sorry. That's a reloading shelf, and I happen to study WWII history, didn't have room on the computer table here for the pic. Too many papers...

nice bubbler

aiight...
-u need ta get the water out of there first

-then heat the bottom of the bubbler w/ a lighter

-heat it up until the resin that is in there with the bud starts to soften, (liquify)

-this will form a nice ball of goo at the bottom of the bubbler

as that gooey resin starts to haden off a bit (a min. or so)...you should be able to fish it all out w/ a cleverly bent paperclip or toothpik

-reheat as necessary

hope that helps

...youll be better off tomorrow...hehe

Sweet! Thanks for the great tips.

And before swarms of hate PMs and bad rep start flowing in I'll explain:

That's a Ruger P91DC Ambidexterous Decocker Model. (US military spec. issue)
Very useful to me since I'm ambidexterous anyway, and in a pinch will fire two hand guns at two different targets simultaneously. Not competitive, but I suppose I could be if I entered. Fires a 40 S&W round, gun guys will understand what this means.

The research, I've been studying WWII for many years now, largely due to the fact of my German lineage. You know how it goes, you start tracing your roots, find all the skeletons in the closets, and then get intrigued and start learning more, and in the end discovering that historians are by and large full of shit continuing propaganda that is doing more harm than any beneficial good.

So there's the short explanation, and again, thanks for the great replys.

At most of the head shops I've been to, they sell tiny little blown glass triangles that you can use at the bottom of a pipe. I think they're like a buck each or less. Then ya don't hafta worry about it pulling through anymore. The downside is when ya ash it you could lose the little glass thing, but they're pretty cheap anyway.

I

its just sky fi

my screen pretty much ahered istelf to the bubbler after a week or so...

so nothing is gettin down there really....

LOL, hiel Hitler and pass the bong! (Just kidding folks, no need to get all bent out of shape. We're all relatively sane hominids around here.)

I'm curious about these blown glass triangles. Never seen or even heard of them. If they work like I'm imagining, I'd probably prefer using those than a screen anyway since I don't like the metal taste.....

Funny, I work with metal in the shop all the time and still never really acquired the taste for it. :muahaha:

Got a pic of these triangles by chance? I can stop by Pipeline this weekend and check them out, do I just call them triangles, or do they go by a more technical name? I typically let the wife deal with salesmen since I don't seem to speak "dude" with any kind of fluency.

Thanks again everyone.

Sweet rifles. Not sure about the open-mindedness of the majority in IC, but I could post a few "toys" myself if allowed.

How do you get around the part where your eyes cant be both left and right side dominant? I can shoot with my left hand too but since Im right eye dominant I know my accuracy is going to crap.

The short answer is:

That's what gives ambidexterious people the ability to use both hands in the first place. We don't have a dominant eye. Thus accuracy isn't affected right or left. (Whichever eye aligns its target first takes precedence. Easier than it sounds if you're born this way. And happens in milliseconds.)

Its true a person can be taught ambidexterity, but that's more of a left/right brain function and there's no beating that dominant eye. But if you don't have a dominant eye to begin with, there's essentially no "gate" to swing right or left for brainwaves to pass and the brain is utilized equally.
