whats light warrior?

With soil for myself, I get ok at it when I start fertilizing. I notice much better results using gh nutes than something like miracle grow.

I dont have the right knowledge yet to play with nutes. I just try to maintain a healthy looking plant. Paying attention to how each one grows and coloring.

I like experiencing problems so I can learn from them. To me that is the only way I can learn is to experience it as I am a poor reader.

LW is made by FoxFarm. You should be able to find it at a hydro store near you. Check out the moonshinemix thread in my sig :joint:

Light Warrior is soiless bro. I like keeping mothers in rockwool or soiless...super easy to maintain IMO. I'll bring you down a bag of some soiless I think is better than Light Warrior. I get it in Oregone and it's worth the drive...cool scenery and all. It's a pain to mail order this stuff so I'll make sure there's some room in da trunk.

Those baybees in the pics are going to ROCK big time .

Hey Joe ...thanx again bro!

I'll check it out but for now I have to deal with what I got. My wife wont let me spend money cause I just go ape shit. When it comes to learning, I wish shit was free. Wish I could do this shit at the university in a controlled environment. NASA type shit, sky is the limit so she wont let me spend shit unless I can justify it.

Anyhow, what I am saying is I gotta use what I got for now and cant buy new stuff.

Sad but true.

Thank Lotus for checking me out. I appreciate the compliments.

Redux that will be cool if you can bring some of that. I would like to see what exactly it is. Is it as cheap as soil? I get like 2.5 cu yards for a couple dollars.

No need to spend any $...tell the wife it's a gift. It'll be enough to experiment with. Light Warrior is cool and groovy stuff...I've played with it and others I know that have used it gave it a thumbs up. This is just a little different.

James Morrison and Indophiliac is in da house. Thanks for coming by my room and all the kind words.

James I dont know much about this white widow as I picked her up at a local co-op that is not worthy of being in business. Since I have worked on getting quality genetics.

Here are a few upcoming chemdog cuts hopefully they make it

Right on timtim. You think that could cause that leaf curl lockout deficiency theory I have?

Also, Since I saw this problem I have not changed nutes on this system or added any nutes. Just fresh water to keep up the res level. My ppms are in the 400s and it seems all is fine. A guy sproutco said it was caused because I used the lucas formula with gh nutes. So I just bought some flora nova to try now. I try to keep things as simple as possible for myself you know. And I dont know enough to start playing with nutes. I am getting old you know.

How often should I flood the cocomat rockwool setup?

Hey dude,
My best guess is the ph is causing the lockout in the RW. Do you check the ph and ec of your run-off? I was always having problems keeping the ph in check when I used RW.
Oh, and sproutco got the boot for a reason dude, he was full of shit! So don't worry too much about anything he told ya.
I'm with ya on keeping it simple. That's the best way to do things IMO.
Now, with your mums, if you're having a few probs growing them in soil, why not try growing them in coco, with a coco specific nute? That's how I keep mine, and they're always a picture of health!
Anyway dude, keep up the great work.

PS Now you've REALLY perked my interest, with the mention of some Chemdog! Can't wait to see that one in flower!

Wuz up timtim, I check pH daily 6.0 and I use ppm instead of the ec. But I measured it and it is 0.7 Others have stated less is better and to wait for the plant to ask before I feed again.
I will take some more photos in a few days to compare but new growth is looking better. Time will tell.
And the coco for my mamas might happen also cause I have some left over. But my mamas are looking better after I fed them. I may set up my mamas with something easier though cause I am watering them every other day and it is too much for me to worry about. I like things automated too.
The chemdog was gifted from a friend. I am very excited. I hope I can do it justice. But for now I must get them to root after their overnight trip. Should be fine. So stay tuned.

Gl on the white widow the two types i have smoked both left me spining up and down :)and they where club cuts. I think the cuts they have are mostly good they just don't know how to grow.

I dont know about this strain, got it at the local co-op. So it wont be anything to write home about then again you never know until you try.

I have got some of somas somango coming up that I am a little excited about.

Then a little Hawaiian snow sativa in the mix. She goes like 13 or 14 weeks. I am dying to see if I can meet her needs LOL

very nice grow dammakus!! ebb/flow user here as well!
been trying to figure something out to give the rw cubes a bit more root zone without having to use the slabs and i see ur using 1/4 coco slab? Hows it working for you?
are the plants roots actually growing into the cocco slab??
YEs u only need to water the RW slabs/cubes twice at the moist every day.
My tray floods about 3 hours after hte light comes on for 10min and then again about 3 hours before the light goes off for 5min! Thats it.. any more watering and ive found the cubes to stay really heavy and i see no new growth. know that ive been backing off the water i see lots of new growth. and they seem to be alot healthier!

are u planning on making the switch to coco 100%?? and any plans on going organic?

UNREGISTERD is in da house. Thanks for the kind words. Timtim timmay timmay gave me the idea to put the rockwool into pots. This way I can develope a much larger root mass in the veg room then carry them into flower room.

I have spoken to many experienced growers and have to agree that you can not over water rockwool so I am still watering every two hours lights on. Doesnt seem to be a problem.

I have to say I do like the cocomat. The roots grow right into it. No pH issues. All is good. The hardest thing with the coco is it was hard to cut to size. It dulled the blade quickly but I managed. I plan to go all organic soon. I purchased some Pure Blend Pro this weekend so I can compare it next to the Flora Nova and GH Lucas Formula trays.
