Baseball 2010 thread

Whats up guys and girls,

With another baseball season underway I figured I would start up this thread so we can discuss some baseball and talk about are favorite teams, players, fantasy, news, and just about anything baseball.

Not much big news in the off season but a few big names in new cities: Halladay to philly, Lee to Seattle, Bay to Mets, Granderson to NYY just to name a couple. I happen to be a yankees fan and love the addition of Granderson and nick johnson. At the same time it was extremely hard for me to see them get rid of Matsui he was a true yankee, damon i could care less about because their is no way he will put up the same numbers he did last year for the rest of his career. It means tho that the yanks learned from signing big contracts with those old player in past years.

So big opening series for us and sox fans, but the first couple games of the year don't mean too much. Plus its seems for the past 10 year that the Sox always sweep us early in the season.

As a Tigers fan, I do not share your excitement, concerning the Yanks acquisition of Granderson.
The Tigers are off to a pretty good start though.

no ones fucking with the phillies offense. polanco was a great upgrade over feliz. but we need j-roll and joe blanton back asap.

HoldyourFire, Matsui will be a yankee in my eyes forever I got nothing but love for Godzilla.

Styles P, its def another good year to be a Yanks or Philly fan, Halladay is so retartedly good in the national league he only needs to throw 2 pitches on top of that you guys were smart and signed your big man to big money to keep him happy right where he is. If i was gonna put money on it I bet we see a yankee vs philly world series again!

The yanks are cruising right along and it looks like our pitching staff is top in all of baseball. The rays are kicking some ass and looks like they're back to make another run for the WS.

Boston fans are things gonna turn around soon for you guys???? Boston pitching we all know will come around but they're in desperate need of a big bat in that line-up. Big Papi looks very old, with his best years def behind him. Still early in the season but things will start to get exciting sooner than we think!

P.S. Styles P philly has a great offense i think the yanks is a bit more potent tho.

tell me about it they strand so many runners its so frustrating. one rumor that has me worried is they were stealing signs with binoculars in the bullpen. ever since then it seems their offense has been terrible. and we have a ton of injuries to key players. we have like 3 bench guys a night in the lineup. can i take away my comment up there ^^^^^ lol.

I know they just got these 2009 rings a short time
ago but it sure looks like they're on their way again.

we're gonna have a showdown in The Bronx
come Tuesday evening, Halladay hasn't got
a prayer against the Yankees lineup tomorrow.

just got done watching the
twins/phillies game, wild.

being as I'm in MN now for 22+ yrs I've come
accustomed to watching twins games from time
to time.

If anyone here is ever going to a Twins game @
Target field Mnpls you need to book your seats
in the Legends Club seating area, use StubHub
to find/buy seats in those sections. You'll feel as
though you were in an owners box when you go
inside the legends clubhouse, upscale drinks and
dining, small clean bathrooms. Coffee shop kiosks
w/upscale liqueurs, sorbet/ice cream/gelato stand,
much better food choices. @ your seat (legends area
only) a waitress takes your drink order & you pay her
or him; then a server comes down with your freshly
made drink(s) (any drinks you want) a few minutes
later, bang! Wider seats nicely padded & all the nice
food served to your seat as per your order as well.

Legends Club area is air conditioned and/or heated
as needed, when you step in the club area it's like
being in an 5 Star hotel lobby with fine food court
choices, tables & chairs, a few couches here & there
with attention paid to comfort and socializing. If you
have friends sitting elsewhere in the Legends sections
just call them on their cell phone & meet them at a
table in the clubhouse to sit/chat/watch the game.

You'll feel spoiled & be spoiled forever. cost more? a
few bucks more for the tickets, a few more bucks for
any nicer food item too but hey they'll play only 81
games and have you there for 3 hours only to sell you
food/beverage, expectantly but acceptably priced.
