I ain't no probabilities expert, but I think if you flip 6 coins, you don't have a 99% chance of one of them being heads. I think it's less. And if you do it enough, you'll end up with all tails for sure at some point.

Now if you flip 100 coins.... But not everyone has room to flip 100 coins.

No, if you flip 6 coins you will always have a 50% chance that each flip will be heads, period! That will always be the odds....
However the law of averages doesn't always work in our favor, sometimes we get more "heads" and sometimes more "tails".

If you were to grow out 100 plants I'd bet you'd have really close to 50/50, but before that you will probably have more of one than the other.

So if we are saying there is a 50/50 chance of getting a male or female, and we are not manipulating it through environment etc, the chance of all males from 6 seeds is .5^6 or 0.015625. So the chance of getting at least one female is 1-0.015625= .984375, or about 98.44% Pretty close to a 99% chance.

So in a sense, you are right. There is not a 99% chance that only one of them is heads (or female), there is (about) a 99% chance that AT LEAST 1 is heads (or female), which is what we care about here...not getting all males.

Midnight tokars got the right idea....Make yer own beans, start more than you need, plus the satisfaction of growin your own beans. Another thing to consider is keeping em in small containers under floros for 30-35 days, most will show sex by preflowers, then toss the males...repot the females and veg em until they fill your space...even if you got only three or four females, you can veg em till they fill your space...

I'm pretty sure he meant "of at least one being heads." That's not sound logic at all unless he was just joking around, and was pointing out it's actually about 98.44% or playing with his words "of one" vs. "of at least one". Could be I guess. And the part about getting all tails at some point, sure, about 1.56 times out of 100.

I will 3rd or 4th making your own femmed seeds if you do go that route. If you would rather buy them, lots of people seem to be getting really good results from ograskal fems.

I've tried 3 diff femme seeds from 3 diff breeders and they were all crap. Will never go femmed again. Have much better luck finding a keeper with reg beans. Every seed from fem was a completely diff pheno from each other. Half the phenos might as well have been hemp and the other half were a bit better but not worth growing.

Fems I tried

Barneys Tangerine dream - trashed it all. Didn't even smoke it.

Reserve Privadas Headband/sour kush - was the worse yielding plant ever. What little bud you did get was good but just a waste of space and time.

Paradise seeds Whiteberry - grew alright. No flavour and not a good buzz. r

just wait till a fem seed ends up male, now that sucks. I had a pack of 6 ppp and every single one turned out to be male.It wasnt from stress because I have ran hundreds of other fem seeds through the room and never even had any herms.

It was a couple years ago, and just a 6 pack of nirvana beans, some cheap beans so I wasn't too upset. I have been thinking about growing ppp again because they would have been great producers. I have grown many other nirvana strains since and haven't had any problems. NL, aurora indica, white widow, B52, top 44, and white rhino were all pretty damn good. I wish they didn't discontinue top 44 that was a good commercial plant.

the blue sat is a badly herming strain fromwhat ive read on this site, properly made seeds from 2 stable parents should not herm like that....

Mine didn't herm, were resinous as DAMN, but smoked hempy
None were potent enough for me...
Waste of lights/nutes imho.

I have only tried 2 fem seeds 1 was from GHS SSH in 95 it was very good. The other is CBG Peyote Purple really like the pp. I did find a male in the PP line no hermies out of 100 plants unless you want to call the male a hermie?.. The BS I grew had good and bad phenos in it. I saty away from the fem seeds as much as I can..
