A little pic update ...

The frame is finished for now i am adding a few more cross pieces of small 1x1 lumber to sure it up a bit.. The other brackets are being installed as the night continues. I am going to try and get it plumed up so i can test run it for leaks tomorrow night.

Its ghetto, for sure but i never claimed to be a master . It should get the job done though..

Each tube will house 4 plants and has a access hole for drain maintenance

Drain

Flow

Thats all i got for now its beer:30 so im relaxing for a min.

i like how the drains are in the corners - only in two corners.
how'd you secure the posts to the 2x4 secured angle irons - glue? or are they removable - held in place by weight?
the posts drain into each other?
3000k! wow!

I pictured towliee when you said "Dude honestly I dont even know whats going on" ... HA HA !

hopefully you will get to see her in completion soon ...

Yea the posts drain into each other water is pumped to the top post, then gravity takes over and does the rest..

To secure the posts i used cheap shelve braces , like 1.50 a piece ..then some zip ties to hold them tight.. The hole thing can come apart fairly easy and is pretty lightweight..

How's the project coming along Jack? Did you get a successful test flow in? Or are you being a stoner? ;)

I'm one to talk. I've had to sabatoge myself at the bar for a month now because I don't want to bring home any ladies when I haven't gotten around to really lightproofing my cab.

Canigetsum>>> thanks for the props bro ..see ya around

007 >>> the project is coming along good .....i have a few leakers so i got to fix them ...but yes i have tested the ones that dont leak and it looks like this is gonna rock..

Man i wish i had time to be a lazy stoner ,, between work and the garden im always running..

I am chopping a harvest from the tables today so i wont be able to work on it but hopefully i cant get to it tomorrow.

My plan is to use some silicon to fillin the leaks , i am shocked that the pvc cement didnt hold on all of them . I think it is because they are square and not round ..

IDRT>>> thanks bro me too :)

Well on to the chop, hopefully tomorrow i can get to some more progress on the 360 grow ... peace guys

Well progression on the stadium is slower then i had hoped for. I did get the leakers preliminarily sealed the silicone needs to set for a long while before i can test them.

If it doesn't work and they still leak i will pry the caps off and reseal with silicone instead of pvc cement, so i have already learned a few things in the prototype. The next should go smoother ..

RS>>>> so am i buddy !! i didn't get it done in time to be put in place for this round of clones . so it will have to wait until mid Nov, when the next group of ladies gets chopped. Then ill put it in place and fill the monster up with green. Which in a way is good that will give me time to make 50+ cuts

I received a new lighting controller a 60 amp , to partner up with my existing 30 amp controller. Also two new cool tubes that are longer then my current ones, to use with it ..So soon it will be alive..If i had the room i would pop the monster in their now.. but i cant fit it in >> :(

Yeah, I guess the square ones will have much worse warping in terms of getting a good fit. I think square should work way better for NFT though, since you have much more surface area without going too deep.

Wait a sec, I just realized you never said really if you were going for a NFT or an E&F. I guess you couldn't have an ebb where you completely flooded the roots, since the water on the lower levels would shoot up through the neoprene caps. So are you going to do a continuous NFT, or just a high volume run through every so often?

I am using high volume technique. The sections only fill up about 1 or 2 inches deep and will flood/ drain quick so i can water several times a day. No neoprene caps im using small net pots with a soiless medium. I guess technically its kinda hybrid ebb and flow / NFT cause im using principals that both use as well as equip.

That looks pretty sweet, I have the same thing planned, but I am still debating between a stadium and 100% vert... My only concern with vert is my low ceilings. They are only like 6' 4" and I don't think that is enough height for 2 1,000 watters. I would probably have to use 600's...

How high up is your top row? and how high are your ceilings?

thanks for sharing

The top row is set at about 5 ft 10 in , i expect the canopy to be just below 7 feet the whole frame is 8 feet tall and my ceilings are 12 ft so im lucky i guess. You might try two rows and 600 for each that may suit ya better ..

Thanks man, and if you used that whole 12 feet, you could stack 3 bulbs in a column, your square foot usage for that room would be insane! And you would have to stand on a ladder to get at your plants haha. If you filled your whole room with those units, Your grams per square foot would be huge compared to a horizontal garden. What size room are you working with again?

And that's what I was thinking... Maybe when I get another spot I will buy 600's and try them out... A bare bulb stadium would probably suit my 1,000's better.
