Whats wrong with my leaves?

Just bought a couple new clones from a highly recommended source.
I run a DWC system.
The strain is called Shiva Skunk (Northern Lights #5 x Skunk #1)
She is just about two weeks from purchase but was fully rooted.
She is about 6" tall in the begginning of veg phase.
I grow in a Micro grow and will be cloning this plant to flower under a screen.
No medium is used anymore, but it was originally given to me in rockwool.
Water temp ~58-60 Degrees roots are white, PPM and PH check out.
So does the equipment...
I last rinsed my resevoir about 3 days ago, my last water, my last res change.
I am Vegging under 4 x 150w equiv CFLs plant is about 6" from light.
Canopy temp ~65F Day-55F Night
Currently i have a vornado fan that pulls air through PVC venting not direct.

VARIABLE #1
This is a second round of clones i picked up, first round didnt go so well when
I bought more than i bragained for and infested my grow with spidermites.
The spidermites were killed, no questions asked... however this time around
i was extra cautious and sprayed my new clones with neem. This caused
some of the leaves to turn translucent and give the plant Neem burn.

VARIABLE #2
I was sick of picking up store bought water and i began filtering my tap water.
PH and PPM were rectified with a tiny effort. This process went on for a
week but given the conditions of my plants i performed a resevoir rinse and
changed back over to what i had been previously sucessful with, storebought
distilled. Current nutes are mid size vegatitive and 1tbsp liquid karma per gal.

12 Days in...

8 Days in... New growth comes in irregular, spots grow and become "clear"

4 Days in... Leaves begin to lose color, spots appear on leaves

First day after transplant minutes after neem...

Any ideas!?! I have limited sources for good genetics, I kinda need this girl to pull thru. Any help much much apreciated and thank you in advance.

How good is your tap water? I've helped out people with pH problems caused by water softeners that add Sodium to the water as the ion that get's exchanged with the mineral in the water. Some water filters like Brita water use an ion exchange to take the Chlorine out.

hey guys thanks for the replies

ph was 5.6
ppm ~150 when i was using tap.

I think that the leaves maybe looking better with that new solution of distilled
water and nutes. Still too soon to say but new growth looks to be sprouting
"pointier" leaves.

Reg Greenery you nailed it, its not Brita but i am an idiot for trusting the kid who
gave me the water filter that is very much Brita like.

Ph is still steady however ppm cannot be measured till my buddy with the gift of
the brita like filter gives it back. For the most part he knows what he is doin.

pH 5,6 will not cause that serious curling.. Thats in my oppinion though, and bear in mind that I am a noob. Read alot of your posts Pete and you seem to know what your talking about. Ive had a lot of pH fluctuations, also lover than 5,6 in similar system but never seen anything like that..

Are you sure your equipment is calibrated?

You can never be too sure, like i said i dont have ppms still but ph i am using
is a kit of test solution, up and down and its what got me through my first
few grows but i have been trusting this.

Notice since the start of this post I have started using distilled water again
and the leaves are beginning to look better. Before the res swap, Leaves
alomost rembled lettuce... but their shape made them look like a large clover
leaves.

I feel the same way about PH, you see, i mess up PH once in a while and it
causes growth to turn knotty and sometimes change color, but this was
wierd and different. Some sort of mutation that may have been caused by
the harsh transition from whatever nutes they were using to mine, cause 2
clones were purchased and both had the same issue, only one lived.

Hopefully everything straightens out on its own and it seems to me i was doin
something wrong (as opposed to getting crappy clones and it not being my
fault)

Hermie??

Hermie??

Up to date pic of the plant, the new leaves sprouting at the tip of every
side shoot and at the top of the plant appear to be good and the plant has
shed the larger neem-burnt leaves. Distilled water seems to have saved the
day which means i have to check my ppms accuracy and get a different filter
if i decide to go in that direction.

One last question... this female clone has seen nothing but the 24/0 light
schedule, but was this stress enough to hermie the plant? Only way to know
for sure is go for it, just wondering from your experiences...

I will agree with petey, this is a sutuation that does not happen offten, this is due to pH swings where pH goes up down all around all the time.
This is also along with a mutation from improper care, so this is why you don't see this much.

There could be a lot of factors, but in this situation his pH by far was the problem.

He will be lucky if his plant even grows after fixing it; it's rarely I ever say trash a plant, but this plant has been through the pits :(
I have seen plants like this, not to often but yes I have seen it happen like this before.

If you read about why pH is important you will get a better understanding about how this twisted and shrunk like it did, nutrient deficiencies also play a role in why it looks like this, severe lockout has disfigured the plant.

interesting, i guess you probley aren't gonna lose anything by keepin it around
just try to coax it along so you can clone it, shiva skunks is decent yield plant and decent smoke to.

you hydro guys are crazy lol, i could probley shit in my soil and that wouldent happen.

Precisely what i was thinkig, I dont have a replacement clone to immediatley
replace this clone, but even when i grab one in a couple days i am still going to
clone this plant and throw it in 12/12.

Hydro wasnt crazy until i messed it up! SOIL is crazy!! haha j/k

Well everything is a good learning experience and fixing this issue as best as it can be fixed will give you confidence and valuable experience.

I think she can grow fine once again with time and proper and stable conditions. A digi ph pen is a must.

I love Pammy, btw. :D You're a dog!

In order for newer growth to be affected, it is related to micronutrient problem a vast majority of times and in order for micros to be problem, there has to be either deficient, pH or lockout due to pH/overfert.

This strain could be just very touchy and which is why you are seeing it.

Update:

I bought this thing 3 weeks ago to the day, this is so sad. But these pics show
its struggle throughout the past few weeks and the beginning of recovery.

Not that this should ever happen to you but there is hope if you have no way
of getting another clone! Just Rinse the plant with distilled water (roots and all)
and then i nursed her back with a little bit of liquid karma, oh and i stopped using
the neem!
