Hello lovely ladies, sorry it's been so long again since I've been on icmag, I've been CRAZY busy!! Went to the ht cannabis cup here in Denver, it was a complete zoo, last years cup I had a much more pleasant experience. Cannagirl- Sure you can test grow out my sumo slumber, as it is still an f1, but I have MANY seeds, and would love to get other growers giving me their impressions on it, there is quite a bit of pheno sway, big yields on the pheno with the tight dense bud structure, and tons of tricimes, and wonderful terpene and flavanoid profiles. I am not going to be growing master kush or black magic kush again, although I have seeds galore of them, one of the f3 black magic kush phenos grew out odd, very similar to the long string of single bud "pearls" similar to the dr grinspoon strain, but overall with the yield of the f4 masterkush seeds and f3 black magic kush, it's not worth my time/resources it involves, when I have so many other breeding projects in the works that took a backburner this season for me to grow quite a few strains I myself didn't breed, which in my experience in the past few years has not been the best way for me to use the limited time and space that I grow. I shut down my flowering building in the summer, simply because the utility company here jacks the rates up very high in the summer months, and with my flowering building being sealed with co2 & 2 100 gal open reservoirs, even running the split a/c and the dehumidifier, keeping the temps at 88F, and transpiration, it costs me a FORTUNE to grow in the summer, and then some of the most dense bud producing strains I grow, tend to suffer from bud rot. So this summer I'm upgrading the flowering building, installing a better a/c and dehumidifier, time to replace all the light bulbs, 1 of my timers took a crap, and come to find out, greenboard WAS NOT used in the building of my flowering building, although I had paid dearly for it, so I will be power washing and putting up that orange foam vapor proof boards and or just the orange sheeting, then re-texture, primer, mylar the entire room including the vaulted ceilings that are 15'... I hope I do not end up falling off a ladder and getting injured. Then I will be replacing the vacuum pump on my bho butane recovery unit and building a bigger butane tank, and changing a few valves, so tweaking the design a bit, and the vacuum pump I'm currently using was on it's last legs 3 years ago when it was gifted to me, I'm surprised it's lasted this long, but I have been doing a crazy amount of repairs on it to keep it going. And on other fronts, I'm now writing for roughly a dozen cannabis magazines, and just signed on for being a writer/contributor for 2 magazines this month alone, which is why I have been absent from ALL forums, I'm just insanely busy. I have also been working on my new medibles, I have perfected several gelato, sherbert, sorbet and popsicle recipes, getting ready for the summer heat wave sure to come. Here in Denver, it has been snowing big time about once a week, and it's already May, so the weather is really messing things up. I also developed a medicated meal kit of thai cocounut green curry, which is vegan, and incredibly yummy, you can of course add meat of your choice as well as veggies, and then it would be non vegan. I had learned from a chef friend who had attended both of the molecular gastronomy culinary schools about a decade or so ago, and in Italy they taught him about the different ways and the best items to use to extract all the goodies in cannabis for medical purposes, and coconut cream/milk/oil is one of the best, which is one of the reasons I decided to make an actual MEAL that's medicated that you make at home, you add whatever veggies etc you want to the mix, which is a very tasty spicy green thai curry. I know as I only speak for myself, but I get tired of only having dessert/candies/drinks for medibles, sometimes I would like to enjoy a dinner party with my like minded friends/patients, and have the entire meal be medicated instead of having to eat so much sugar etc. I do admit, my lollipop/hard candy recipe I have here on icmag is very good, and I know several of the edibles companies here in CO have taken the liberty of using my recipes for their line of lollipops. I'm flattered, but I kind of wrote that for regular folks and not a business that's making a product and making a profit, without giving a nod as to where the formula/recipe came from, which is why now I am so hesitant about posting a few more threads on the goodies I have spent the last year perfecting, my frozen treats, the 3 different gummy medicated candies, the uber potent old fashioned black sticky gingerbread, the thai green curry, and my newest creation that's giving me nightmares, medicated exploding carbon candy, which most people would recognize as "pop rocks", the challenge has been how to get them flavored and medicated sufficiently without having the carbon candy prematurely popping/exploding. I've almost got it dialed in, as anyone who knows me, I'm a HUGE foodie, and taste, mouth feel, a blissful food experience is always my goal, especially when it comes to edibles. I've had so many edibles that are just unpleasant to eat, it's like taking medicine, where my goal for my edibles has been small batch, artisan made from only the best organic ingredients, using proper techniques, so my edibles are a joy to eat, are extremely potent, but also hard to stop eating they are soooo yummy, which gets me into trouble sometimes... many of my patients say that one moment they are in bliss enjoying say, my raspberry chambord medicated gelato, and I have them in single serving and quart sizes, 3 spoonfuls into a dish, next thing they know, they wake up with the remnants of most of their munchies stash scattered about their peripheral area, or their girlfriend/roommates/friend found their little container of gelato, ate half of it and ended up passing out. I tend to make my edibles for people with my very high tolerance, as I do cater to medical patients, who usually do have quite the tolerance themselves. After I get the exploding carbon candy dialed in, IDK what my next little project will be as far as edibles, but here in CO, since passing amend 64, there have been a lot of private members and invite only amend 64 clubs that are open several evenings a week, 1 which Rob Corry, whom IMO is a wonderful attorney who helped write the framework for amend 64 owns in Colo Springs, and they are holding an ice cream social next month, and guess who's bringing all those frozen medicated treats as well as a dozen different bho strains/mixes to dab those there out on some of my bho? Yeah... unless they have another person that's making medicated frozen treats, I'm going to be a busy woman keeping my ice cream maker constantly going until then, as I only have the capacity to spin a quart at a time. DM laughed so hard today when I was opening the freezer and had no place to put the meat in the freezer, as the entire top half of my freezer (brand new last year, one with the freezer on the bottom, lots and lots of room, is completely filled with quart sized Styrofoam cups all filled with a myriad of flavors of medicated frozen concoctions, with 1/4 of my fridge holding more mixes I've prepared to get ready to spin (I ran out of sugar for 3 days...), so now he says it's official, I have to go out and buy a new deep freezer to start to keep my frozen treat in etc, but I need an ice cream maker that allows me to spin more ice cream than 1 quart at a time, then having to wait for it to get cold enough again in the freezer before I can use it again. Sorry to complain about these trivial things... and on top of everything else, my house is in the begining stages of being remodeled, and I have been buying new furniture and everything else, so everything is in complete chaos and I'm losing my mind.... I have to pick up the antique wood ornately carved chinese opium daybed that's taken me 10 years to find one I liked and could afford, as well as another sofa (already have gotten 3 new sofas in the last 2 weeks), as I have 2 very big greyhounds that think they are people and have to have their own sofa to lay on, watch tv on, sleep on... DM ruined my wood and glass dining room table, so I went out and got an all glass table so it would be harder for him to mess it up like the previous one... funny how I have to greyhound and DM proof my house, considering he's in his late 30's, but thinks it's ok to leave a soaking wet dirty greasy towel on MY WOOD TABLE and it would be ok. But 1 of the sofas I got last week was a STEAL at an auction house I frequent, it's brand new, pale yellow silk shantung, down filled beautiful, comfy... and in my office, or what I'm turning into my office, as now I'm an empty nester, being as my daughters are now old and adults and on their own, yeah, I'm that freakin' old! Although, I am blessed with good genes, and with the healthy amount of cannabis I consume, and now that I was finally diagnosed as having celiac disease, I'm no longer spending every other week in the hospital, which I literally have spent the 1/2 of the last 3.5 years hospitalized, which was difficult and a cause of a lot of stress. Last year I dropped 70+ lbs in 9 weeks, my Dr was wanting to admit me into the hospital to have a feeding tube surgically put into my stomach because of the rapid dramatic weight loss, and I was scared out of my mind at my seemingly drastic decline into further bad health, wondering am I going to die? Will I ever start to get better? I was so sick and tired of constantly being in the hospital, seeming to just get worse and worse each hospital stay. I'm so much better now, but between being in the hospital, growing, breeding, research, writing, networking, inventing and creating new gadgets to make bho, iso, co2 extracts, edibles, I kinda have been hermit like for a while. I have missed the camaraderie in the Woman's forum here on icmag, but I can see from my last visit that I posted on the last page here, so this forum has been awfully quiet. I got a new usb camera to take close up picts of the tricome coverage on my buds, but I got it last year at the ht cannabis cup, and still haven't been able to figure out how to use it quite yet. Photography is not my strong suit, but I will keep trying. But for now, I have so much on my plate, I really need an apprentice/intern or two/three to help me out, even with the flowering building shutting down for a few months, I still have a ton to do, like upgrade the flowering building, and I'm also upgrading my veg area/clone area/mom room/seedling area, on top of having my house remodeled. I know I have taken on too much, but it all needs to be done and I can't keep putting these things off, because I have been doing that for several years now, and I just have to bite the bullet and get it all done. After all, I'm a woman, so I can accomplish anything and multi-task, as that's what we females excel at. Now if I can pull it off without losing my hair/mind/ or losing it completely and end up torching down my house in frustration is a completely other issue. OH and I'm launching
the seed line finally, as well as cute ladies hemp clothing line... Puff Puff Pass... HELP??

You never cease to amaze me, DK. :tiphat:

Hi there! I'm new to this site and growing in general. 1st grow (outdoor) experience was last year and was really pleased with the results. Then there's this year............ughhhh

Not really happy with the way my buds turned out. Took some advice and used a bunch of different nutrients. I only have 4 plants and have harvested 2. I'm so unimpressed with the way this is finishing that I looking for suggestions on a few things:

1. Can I make hash from the flowers?
2. Do I need to trim and dry the flowers before making the hash or can I use fresh flowers?
3. Being that I'm new to this what is the best method to use with hash bags?

Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.😁

Lots of questions look for a youtube video on the use of bubble bags.
This is my first plant she is a dinafem Cheese plant, as for advice just remember that growing is trial and error, what works for some might not be right for your situation. Good luch and grow on!

Sorry I have been gone again. I got chickens and bees this past year. I even won a blue ribbon at the county fair for one of my chickens, which was super exciting!!

I have been switching up my grow styles. I had always gone biodynamically by the lunar calender, now adding probiotic plant ferments and ditching the bottles of nutrients at the grow store and doing no till and hugelcultures for outdoor growing! I'm very happy with my results! Chicken poo and rabbit poo seem to be key also.

My gluten-free baking game is really on point these days. On top of growing all our own food including chickens, ducks and a turkey so far for meat. It's hard work, but so amazingly rewarding!

I think you guys know I spent several years in the hospital sick. It ended up being celiac disease and learning how to cook all over again has been challenging.

I posted up a few pictures on another thread, but they were upside down and sideways lol.. so I will try to figure out better posting in a bit.

Lately for edibles I have been enjoying organic medicated caramel. As far as strains I'm running, I'm running a few of my cbd/thcv projects with durban poision x pck x haze and other cbd rich crosses. I've got some purple pineberry, hymilayan lavender, kong, gorilla glue 4, blueberry x nl5, durbanberry, smurphberry og, and a few others.

I have been switching over all my lights which range from 250-1000w hps and mh to the 315w cmh. I have a sun systems 315w cmh and a new one I scooped up on Sunday at the indo Expo here in Denver. I also picked up a couple bags of growkashi and a few more smart pots. I'm not a fan of the airpots I tried out the past couple years.

Atm my sealed room is shut down until I get another stupid dehumidifier. I swear since everything is made in China I have to replace equipment every damn year, when before it was more like replace stuff every 5+ years. Agh. Anyways miss ya ladies!!

Hello Ladies :D

I've been growing outdoors with organics only, sungrown is the way for me and my partner and as women, we do enjoy our evening cookie or pipe. I've been smoking cannabis since early adulthood, at first it was simply because I enjoyed the effects but now, I use it for COPD as well as social anxiety while my partner likes ingesting cookies to help with sleep and pain. We are two women in our sixties.
