The truck that sells small fish to stock your ponds runs this time of year. The fish in my pond go nuts over the fathead feeder minnows they sell off the truck. I got 10 pounds and had 6 young girls over fishing when I was releasing the minnows into the pond. Bass, crappie, bluegill we’re all caught and released by the kids, and they had a blast. Maybe 50-60 fish caught.

odd for bass to overpopulate/stunt. the crappie are notorious for it, though. i'd say that judicious usage of the smokehouse might solve the problem...:yummy:
It sure does ;)
I'm new to stewarding fish.We had to fish out the lake twice for bass both largemouth and blacks. We don't see the big headed ,thin barreled fish anymore. We also started allowing more vegetation to grow, they get these ideas out here that plants in water are bad.We had some worry with early rehabilitation and algael blooms, but the water is filtering way faster now. :)
