Tangwena, I hope we are not going offtopic
We love thai weed as it was before not so long ago. A roach got you high 2 hours
Was it fermented?
Modern weed is very different, it is hard to get used to these modern hybrids when you smoke all your life tropical sativas
It is very interesting what they have to say

I found one store that sells something like this. Asked how to make it, it's similar to Malawi cob, but the effect was lighter than the old day. smell are not the same.

I have and provided you have aged it at least 3 months (6 is better) I get a very euphoric energetic buzz.
Def worth going that root if you want to smoke it though.
I prefer the sweated buds to chew though.
I think @weedebook mentioned in his post the old Thai sticks were probably cured in a similar way.
started the sweat this pm 8 vac bags 30 to 45 grams each now to keep up with the heat and sweat times till they are ready for final dry and cure ,i still have big tops i will jar! Cob On !

Where did you buy that brick?
These links are from last year were posted in this thread
Did you try any of these sites? How is the quality?
Gday Chi
This is wrapped on banana bark, kept during winter at the gh so it is having a very slow cure
I dont put this on yoghurt maker, I just wrap it and place it as is inside a carton box
At the moment temperatures are 5-30C maximum at the GH
During spring towards summer temperatures pick up to 40C
So it is something like having a long fermentation time plus a long drying time for a total of 6 months cure minimum
This was the most succesful method so I am trying different varieties to see how they brick

A method worth trying is bamboo cure
fill a fresh bamboo with weed and seal it with a cork or with bee wax in order to make vacuum and keep it at the sun
It all cures together
I wanted to try this method this year but I am lazy, fresh banana bark is in the garden of this house I am renting and bamboo I need to bring from a few kilometers away

Another method worth trying is wrapping tightly and burying it
Buried I think there will be less temperature swing

There are so many methods to explore
These guys use heat compression technology, I'd love to know how they do it
Brick looks good

This one it seems they fill the string net with bud and then cure it?
How they do this one?
17u$s for 10 gram. The bad thing is they only deliver in Thailand...

This Koh Tao brick is 3,5u$s for 10 grams, do you think the western world can compete with the price? Competition can only come from South America and Africa
If this would be a free world I should be buying from landrace dispensaries around the planet all these bricks

These are links to the same sites but updated, this was on offer last month
If you have tried any of these bricks, smoke report is very appreciated

When I see Zomia prices or anyone selling seed at those prices I lose interest in whatever they have to offer

Seeds of some of the plants from the 2nd episode are up for sale like the apple vinegar selection Squirrel Tail
Things move too fast in the canna world, strains come and go
It is really impressive how fast the turnaround is in the cannaworld
What I bought 5 months ago is not available anymore, descriptions gone too
If you look at the dates, it is all prelegalization, same claim as Zomia
View attachment 18998654

You can get the goods here, affordable prices. What they offer now is postlegalization
In the shop section you can see what you can order if you are in Thailand, 40 baht is 1 euro
This is the farm. 10 gram 5 euro, they should be shipping all over the planet in a free decent world

They have competition and it is fierce but I didnt see any seeds for sale
Some of the competition
25 grams Chocolate Thai 25 euro

Too expensive for you?
Here you can get 10 grams for 2 and a half euro 2,5 euro 10 grams man
Weed is affordable, it always was

Green Crack 10 grams go for 7,5 euro here
I like it, it is affordable for everybody rich or poor

Man, Thailand is Disneyland for any canna lover

Can someone please Zoom in on this picture and please tell me ....
IMG_20240517_145740.jpg

The bag it was very tightly vaccumed sealed up into seems very very dry, so then how would it become moldy?

Just cut it out like a surgeon removes a cancer its usually just surface.
When you slice it off you will see if its spread internally.
We used to smoke moldy pot a lot in Africa during the rainy season its very high humidity and even well dried cobs will get mold if left out of a bag.
Okay so at least you don't die from it, I'm now relieved 😅

Smell and taste(burn) a section .. you will know if it’s not right ..
I also remember that the first sealed vaccumed cure was in paper when it was still dampish, before my travel, and the paper stuck to it and I hoped it was from that, unless it's the white hairs from the stems I had from the plant l, because it actually had those hairs, and since all the bud got squished although into much smaller ball, that could be it maybe idk? But I got rid of the buds on the outside and some inside that seemed to have that moldy hairy like stuff although it didn't look too serious, and put it aside on top of another dry and curing plastic bag like it shows, but the smokable bud that I left which thankfully seems to be be in far greater quantities like the picture shows seems to have no moldy hairy stuff at all, I think 🤔 Should I keep it in the sun? I knew I should've taken it out earlier to dry but we had so many rainy days, and I was busy and not feeling well ....

The sun will help but only for a short time .. if it’s compromised it’s no good .. but you saying you had some and it’s okay ?
You should taste it on the exhale if it’s tasting mushroomy , algae, dusty dampy terps

And no sweetness or floral hashy peppery canna smell taste then it’s probably compromised.. but like Tang says it won’t kill you , people smoke more mould then they would even realise so …
Try make a few so you have an idea / base to work off
If you follow the steps here should at least get 1/3 .. but more like 2/3 - 3/3
going by the results here in the thread

I don't really see much mold, but I tried to chew some but only for twenty minutes somewhere swallowed some amount of juice and no high but there was something, is that normal?

I'm sorry to say that that looks mouldy.

When you say vacuum cured, did you actually use a machine to create a vacuum, or did you just seal it very tightly?.

Freshly made cob is not particularly good for eating; the effects develope over several months. 2 month old cob will give a relatively weak and short acting buzzz, but the same cob after 6 months is much stronger and lasts twice as long. After a year the high is usually very euphoric and clear and will last the whole day.

Generally the effects of cob can be felt within 10 minutes when chewed.

It also helps if the starting material is fully ripe; I appreciate that you had issues with time constraints.

One day I will leave it on 12/12 until it finally has enough growth and maturity, now you know why I was afraid to bring back the schedule when I on accidentally flipped it down, thinking that it would confuse it.... Remember how I was freaking out about when my order would arrive knowing I had until May to leave..... That's exactly why I clogged up the original Killer thread in concern about the time restriction.... The pictures don't really show how well sealed up I've been doing it, but this time it's basically compressed even further with a even more extensive type of sealing and wrapping it up in many many plastic bags, paper, more plastic bags, newspaper, the black HG bad wrapped and squished with even more newspaper.... It literally should be as vaccumed sealed as possible especially now.... Especially the twisting and holding it down technique in each and wrap.... One question though, does this mean now that I have to dry it once every week just to make sure of no mold? It's actually already very bone dry by the way.... I don't even know what year I'll be able to do the next seeds, there five more, if I had or have a house then maybe even some clones.... Ordering was so so stressful that I'm not looking forward to going through all those risks again.... Then again times change.....
