tubs way deeper water with not so good results?????
Tested other types of tubes like t5's and t8 tubes ok
but it seems the CFL's give the right energy to root faster!
Remember 27watt consumtion CFL's they may say on packages 100w light?
Easy,CMEMORY,cool,and home made in the usa baby!!!!!!!!!!
Any tips i can give would be,dont take a yellow harder slightly brown stem
to clone with they root slower go for a 2 to 3 week old branch tip!!!!!!
Cut and pull off the bottom lower leaves to lower stress and save energy....
Put about 8 cuttings in that big pot i had and they did great as you seen!!
(cutting size 4 to 6 inches MAX!)....perfect after 2 to 3 weeks under veg light..
My moms are comfy in soil now,and believe me a plant is MOST comfy in soil.
MOMS last way longer.......hell even BUDS taste better in soil,so give moms earth,
peace and good luck to grow an prosper for at least 3 months!!
Moms do great from cups transplanted to 1 gallon pots for finals........
THen i always make new moms fresh little 4 inch suckers every 3 months.

Really sounds like a great idea. I've always used powder hormone, soil, and flouros. But that methods driving me nuts, hit or miss. Quick Q, what kind of water should I use??
tap or RO, just no nutes, no ph adjustment, no ammendments... plain ol' water.... not too warm 80 is pushing it... and not cold.... 65-70 is where I likey.... 
great thread lou! ive been takin kiss to whole new level using the foil top on a clear cup filled with tap water under a cfl with no bubbles or anything and got 100%. that was only like 5 clones though. ill definitely have to keep your method in mind when i need more than that.

I might give it a shot next time I take cuttings. I've been doing perlite + potting soil with limited success - the clones take 14 days to root and I lost some to rot because I had the medium too wet.
Berry - I'm excited to see how your clones do. They seem to be already a couple of weeks or more into flowering. I have some AK48 clones myself that I took from an outside plant - they're barely rooted now but they're growing quite a few pistils. I hope they won't end up as 1-2 gram buds on sticks.

i set mine up and started getting roots in 5 days, I am running a tupperware version right next to the metal pot version to see how they do in the exact same ambient temps. Thanks Lou! This has inspired me to finally start working with clones instead of just shooting craps from seed everytime.
im working on trying to save some clones and this looks like the best way to do it... used a plastic party bucket and cut out the lid all except the rim, then foiled it up and bought 2 4in airstones for the bottom, set the rim on the top and let it rip. started last night so i will come back in 7 days and let you know the progress. thanks for the tips!

Oh'the foil cover is for the ease of it,nothing else..
You just tear the hole bigger and pull out clones when done
easy as pie.......your action comes from the 4 inch air stones!
You need lots of bubbles to enshure against root rot.

WHY,because these lights promote the healthiest stalks!!
Have tested many lights and like throwing a thread out ounce
in a while to help new an older growers.....
Now here's the key to having moms for long terms,low energy without
loosing to much and dieing later on.......
no worries folks! These tubs are 40 watts and just ordinary shop lights....
2 bulbs in there so 80 watts total in the set up,get anywhere easy!!
The new moms go from small cup/pots to a 1 gallon pot for 3 months or more!
WHY,because as a breeder having moms in more than a 1 gallon pot is hard
if you wanna keep a few dozen moms to breed with some day or collect?????
So never mind the BIG POTS for moms and cutting roots off to keep them years as they get root bound and LOOSE there energies,make FRESH moms!
From cups to 1 gallons,from cups to 1 gallons,from cups to 1 gallon pots...
can ya tell im stoned!
