If you look for a Colombian strain, you may wanna look at the Oldtimers Haze.
It consists of mainly (if not completely) Colombian sativas, the seedfinder says it is a cross of 3 Colombian strains. However, it has less than 10% THC, so you may wanna look at its crosses.
The Colombian strains themselves are really hard to source, I personally did not find them online.

PS: The Green and Purple Haze selection of Pandora Seeds seeds are worth mentioning too, especially there Purple Oldtimers Haze is interesting, as Purple Haze is a mythical strain.

Fits me well as I have smoked my first joint in around 1972 (well, I was too young and did not know what I was doing then, a buddy of mine stole a little hash from his older sister then - happened in Tehran ). Maybe later on I will look into this.

High THC is not what I am really looking for. I am looking for nice elevating buzzes, good sleep and later I might even try a CBD strain for health reasons.

Currently though, I am looking for PURE landrace Colombians and a good Mazar-i-Sharif for next year's grow (last one seems to be easy to find). I am specifically looking for as pure as possible Mango Biche and Punto Rojo seeds, no hybrids. I will create the hybrids or F1s myself if I find the space and time later .

The pure strains are mainly what I find interesting - too many hybrids, feminised and auto strains around now for an oldtimer like me

While OTH is not a pure landrace, it still matches the criteria as it barely has any THC. World of Seeds has a Colombian Gold strain, but this company is known to sell hybrids as landrace strains.

Well, I have to straighten this out a bit. I don't have a problem with high THC and I like a buzz. But it is not one of my main criteria. I prefer good taste and an old-style psychedelic buzz plus maybe a great taste on top.

Yeah, I heard about Corinto. But so far I would rather avoid TLT after reading a lot about them. I do not condone stealing from others/not mentioning their work and then selling for extreme prices. Their offer to me was 5 seeds for €80 and 10 seeds for €150, probably p&h on top (did not mention it but I read it elsewhere). This was for Mango Biche and Punto Rojo each. For that price my requirements are definitely a seller without their bad reputation. And 5 seeds for a real landrace don't make much sense for a serious grower anyhow.

IMHO, it is perfectly ok to make some money. But what I read here and elsewhere just does not please an old-fashioned ex-hippie

@goingrey: Yes, but this is a hybrid. Well, Colombian Gold is something I'll try to grow later in life, maybe. For next year, my plan is Mango Biche, Punto Rojo and maybe Mazar-i-Sharif.

In the waning days of the hippies, I had "Colombian Gold" in California. Well, at least what the black market then called it, FWIW.

I was lucky enough to have smoked it thru all my childhood since it was the only thing available in my town in central Sud America, when grown, dried and cured properly its my favourite smoke, you are energetic, happy and with no downfall after and no roof for high, on top of this so very tasty!! .

Maybe I could ask you, or anyone in this thread, I know the legal limit in Germany is 3 plants, but if I grow an CBD line, planing on growing a CBD1 from ACE under 1% thc, doest it count as one of my 3 permited thc plants??

This is a tricky issue. I don't think it has been resolved entirely, yet. There is a tendency in jurisdiction that this 3 plant limit only counts for FLOWERING female plants. Which would mean you could have as many cuttings, mothers etc. as long as they are not flowering. Which sounds - to me at least - too good to believe. However, since those CSCs (Cannabis Social Clubs) planned to be legalised on July 1 are allowed to pass along 5 clones to their members, this would give some credibility to the theory. Since you can't call 5 clones 3 plants, could you? But there is a "definition problem" in the law. In some places, they define cannabis as flowering female plants and non-flowering clones as "Vermehrungsmaterial" (propagation material, including seeds, clones etc.)

OTOH, a store in Hamburg has been raided by police and clones and seeds have been confiscated just recently. This will certainly be decided in courts.

This store raid does not necessarily mean that a private grower is affected - depending very much on the reasoning of an eventual final ruling. It may only apply to commercial sales, after all.

I suppose a lot of the legalisation issues will be decided by courts in the coming months, years. The whole cannabis legislation is not a piece of art, rather a shabby mess of dubious quality. If you followed the BGH verdict recently (German Supreme Court), there is still a limit of 7.5g of PURE THC you are allowed to own. This does not work when you can have 50g of cannabis at home - we all know that modern strains show 20%, even 30% of THC sometimes. There are a lot of questions even after that BGH ruling. We can only hope that this huge mess gets resolved soon.

Oh, I forgot. CBD or not does not matter much in relation to the 3 plant limit. It would matter in the total amount of THC confiscated in a raid. If you are over 60g of material or 7.5g of PURE THC, it will be a major offense with harsher (jail) sentences. Although such a sentence will probably mean probation, unless they find many pounds. There is also another number: plants with up to 0.2% THC are considered hemp. I doubt that you are allowed those without limits without a permit, though. Don't know for sure.

Damn! Very messy indeed! This is what happens when people that have no idea about a subject make the “rules” “laws” about them. Anyway, looking at the greener side, I am happy that can take at least 3 big plants outdoors this year. Really also wonder to look at my very conservative neighbours faces . Thats why I also don’t want to brake any “rule”. Lol.

Anyway, looking at the greener side, I am happy that can take at least 3 big plants outdoors this year. Really also wonder to look at my very conservative neighbours faces . Thats why I also don’t want to brake any “rule”. Lol.

You need to take care that nobody can steal your plants and they can't be seen by children (last part needs some checking wrt a garden). Also, if neighbors complain about smell or such you are in trouble as well, according to that stupid law. So, better invite them for a bunch of burgers and such and be friends with them

Thanks for the heads up! The neighbours are very nice (so far), and thankfully far away, the problem would be with the children , since I have a small bunch . Also danger from they tiny destroying hands haha. Hopefully we have a nice trouble free summer and can make some medicine and tinctures for the Ill.

I will 100% vouch for Ace gear and especially their OTH. But, you need an outdoor environment that can finish growth in late December or even early January unless you are light dep. indoors, they are only for very experienced sativa growers. Low THC, yes…but quality of ceiling-less high cannot be overstated. Glad that the Germans have come (somewhat) to their senses with legalization efforts. Good luck in your search.

@Senior Grower @Green Zenit I’m growing a pure sativa I collected in Peru which some sources believe Peruvian varieties originated in Colombia and were brought into Peru decades ago by drug cartels. I’m not sure if it is Colombian or not but it is Intensely psychedelic, soaring, energetic, electrifying, blissful, no ceiling, long lasting and long flowering. These plants can get huge one of the best sativas I have come across. If you want to know more feel free to PM me

Thanks, guys. Well, I have a greenhouse-type setting and I will need to check how far I get.

I can grow chillies until mid-December most of the time but they do suffer from lack of sufficient light after about mid-November. I don't want to use artificial lighting.

So, this year will be my first test as I am growing some Durban. Next year, some Mango Biche and possibly Punto Rojo (if I can get it from a decent source) will be my next try. There is still a chance that I can't finish the sativas normally. Maybe I can start flowering early using artificial shading (like a huge black plastic sack two months before natural flowering starts two hours before sunset. But this will only be possible for one or two plants, too much work every day. All that remains to be seen.

I already made a note of OTH from Ace for a later grow, should sativas work sufficiently in my setting.
