Awesome cab ! I just love the stage where small seedlings appear, a few days pass, and the little plantlet grows a few leaves. Then, as they pick up speed, they just go crazy !!! Keep up the good job ! Don´t worry too much, just learn by doing, and do as the growers with "documented" success((...)well, it IS the www )) it´s the way to go.

hey christoph!! Glad to see more help coming your way bro..see..just seek and ye shall find!!
I used store bought soil my first grow and it went well..just have to look and see what nutes are in it..
I know there are dozens of hydro stores where you are so ask for Pro-soil..its 30 bucks a bag and would last you 500 years if you kept your grows small!!I have 1 and I'll be 150 before its finished!!
There are no nutes in that soil so you'd need grow and bloom ferts..in Van, you'll find them cheap too

BC, man im glad for all the help on the local stuff and ill totally go to the nursery near by. Scrub, im thinkin that three type of ferts, the all organic P K and N stuff, as you said "liquid kelp (mainly K), liquid guano (mainly P), and fish emulsion (mainly N)."

well i cant believe that that seedling is at 3 weeks already! it should be going into flowering, im worried.

Well, plants do things on their own timetable for the most part. You have to give good inputs to the plant to get a good output. That's sorta what I was mentioning before about concentrating on a good medium. If you use a good medium, you can expect good results. If you use a poor medium you might get good results, but much more likely not to. That goes for everything - nutes, lights, air exchange...

All I will say is that I've had a lot worse than that so just keep nurturing it. Once they get established and kick into gear, you will get a surprise Keep improving things as you go, and reading and learning more.

One hint I can give is to focus on learning what you need in your soil and food. Dolomite is used in basically every canna soil mix. It's very important stuff and you will need some. You have to add this to the soil weeks beforehand and let it break down. So I would be thinking about getting your soil that you plan to use, and adding things like that now, and letting it rest for a few weeks. It's a pretty important step and common mistake. Peace.

well the thing is, i cant controll when she goes into flowering, if its a girl. but i have the second plant going, and i think she will have a much better start, no repotting needed for awhile, ill have to upgrade containers when she goes into flowering though, i think.

the reason i cant controll it is because she is an auto flower... and i thought that meant no matter what the plant will go right into flowering after a couple of weeks... am i wrong?

what are factors i have to consider?

Hey!! The auto I grew started showing female signs at day 19-21.most(if not all) auto's show female signs at 19-21 days...and auto's max at 60-70 days so that means your big bud girl will veg for 60-70 days..thats not good in your box...now we have a new problem.
its nice out here in beautiful BC so you might have to put the big bud outside?
thats probably not good either...let me think and I'll get back...

yeah, both of my plants are early wonder skunk auto flower seeds, i tried to germ a big bud, but it turned black, and nothing happened for a week, so, i germed another of my auto's and it germed in a day.

my plant one is at day 24 i believe, u know how to spot the difference between male and female, but i havent seen anything lately.

Thats okay then..auto's show at day 19-21 so she was probably stressed and will show any time now...then the real fun begins buddy!!!I can't wait to watch this!!
I've tried early wonderskunk and its great...1 outside grew to 4 feet!!

anyways, i baught some bat guano, and sprinkled it on the soil in my first plants cup! i hope this was the right thing too do!

hey! Sure thats okay...you did'nt put too much on did you? a little goes a long way in such a small container..

i gave it like, half a handfull of the bat guano, after dunking her in like a cup of water.

and then added it to the top of my beer cup.

Half a handful on a beer cup sounds a bit extreme - guano has a lot of soluble nutrient in it which means it is easy to burn with it if over applied, like a chemical nute. I would have thought more like half a tea or table spoon, if it needed it. Is it high P guano? You can get guanos with all kinds of NPKs. Assuming your soil is a reasonably good balance, you generally want to focus on N through veg. When you see the NPK ratio, look for the first number to be higher than the others. Fish emulsion generally fits the bill, or high N guano etc. Peace.

it is much higher in P than anything eles.

and by half a handfull, it was about half a teaspoon, just a pinch in my hand, enough to make a VERY thin layer on the top of the soil.

ill be grabbing some fish emulsion and the kelp. unless you think i should go with a big box of vegitible nutrients, that has like 8-5-6 or something. its all natural too.

Your plant doesn't need too much nutes though..don't overdo it like I did..just baby steps...
If you go online, you can check out pics of defiencies in plants then check yours and feed accordingly..
I let my seedling feed on whatever was in the soil for 3-4 weeks till I started nutes..

Looking good chris.. I love the small speakerbox.

be very careful with nutes so early...use very light doses.

I'm not sure on this but I think earlywonder skunk isn't a true auto, if you keep it under 24 hours light it will veg, and any less light makes it flower...not positive on that though. maybe it was just a super short season plant.

If you need any help with designs or anything for adding a carbon filter, intakes, door or anything just ask and I can whip out a google sketch or something. I had a design for a pair of larger speakerbox around here somewhere, but haven't got around to building it yet cuz I've been so busy.

just let me know if you have any questions about airflow and stuffs like that or any building stuff. lol the majority of the wood vents and stuff in my boxes are made from large and small paint wooden stirrers...hahah got em all for free at HD..I just asked for a few each time I went in.
