Molasses seems to offer most of what Super Thrive does, but without the more risky components(gibberlins most notably). I no longer use it. If I did, I would never use it in flowering, and maybe only every other watering.

I've read mixed reviews of the stuff, some swear by it others say it does nothing...I picked some up and seemed to be ok. The plant I used it on seemed to jump in growth but the new leaves were single bladed or one main blade and 1 or 2 tiny side blades...kinda weird. Snapped out of it later though.

I don't think you want to use it in flower, it contains growth hormones and I've heard it can induce hermies while flowering.

this thread belongs in another forum dealing with synthetic growth hormones related to agent orange.

Why would you add that crap? Oh wait, you love adding crap! Simplify, dude.

lol he just gave me negative rep for saying it's not organic. After all this time!

The sky is not blue. Plants are not green. Anyone saying otherwise gets negative rep.

SUPERTHRIVE = Vitamin B...

that is only partially true, though not quite as true as saying superthrive is water. Besides the vitamin B, it's also an artificial hormone not found in nature, which is a perfect example of NOT ORGANIC if anything is. that artificial hormone is related to agent orange and does the same thing to plants (put enough superthrive and your plants will be defoliated - put the right amount of agent orange, and it works like superthrive - both are artificial auxin).

Do I need to post my sources AGAIN? Just do a wiki search on it, and you will learn what is in there, and about how it is banned in some states. It should be banned in all 50, for the labeling alone.

Guess why the ingredients are not listed? Because they would rather not say, as we organic growers are suckers for a label that looks like Dr Bronner's Castille Soap.

If you can't find the ingredients list by asking the manufacturer, it's not organic.

The labeling issue/problem with Superthrive is the reason it's no longer sold in Oregon. Both Oregon & Washington got really tough this year on product labeling and specific ingredients in agricultural and horticultural products.

Superthrive was one of the first products to get pulled. Another product sold in grow stores with a name something like 'Dutch Penetrator' also got yanked in Oregon but is allowed across the river in Vancouver. More products will be pulled once their cases are given an administrative hearing where they'll lose.

This is, after all, the People's Republic of Oregon and such.

Imagine that, requiring the container to accurately describe the contents. It's socialism I tell ya!

I love superthrive! It has never let me down. Organic or not, the shit works, and it works well..I include it with every feeding as well as for cuttings and transplanting.

What I find interesting is that while Superthrive has been around for over 60 years, the only award that it's been given to the company and the founder is for 'marketing' and nothing at all to do with actually growing plants.

Heh..........
