Looking very nice Chem!

I am plenty impressed with how they are turning out, indeed! Filling out nicely and starting to frost up well, too.

As far as I know these are landrace beans that did not come from any vendor, but I will track down the source for these and try to get some more info for you. :)

The risk you took with these pretty much unkown seeds seems to be paying off. good omens all over! hehe...

Hey V! Good to see you. I had thought you said landrace when I got them, but I wasn't sure. In any event, I'm glad you have more. The garbage smell has pretty much turned into straight, ripe pineapple.

I'm hoping the clone does alright. I just put it in a Water Farm last weekend and it's still growing and flowering even after a transplant from coco to the WF. These ladies are hard to keep down. As a matter of fact, I noticed that 2 of the other plants we grow had some mites (like 4-5) but it's stayed resistant the entire time.

Great plant so far. She'll be getting at least a 3 week cure.

Okay I have more info on the strain now.

It's a Haze (of some sort) x Landrace Afghan. Was a popular strain in NW Carolina a year or two back for several years before the breeder moved.

So it's not entirely Landrace, which makes some sense as it is starting to look like it would have been a very sugary LR Afghan, but having not worked with LR genes before, I suppose it's possible I could be wrong about that.

Sorry I couldn't get any info on finishing times, but it looks to me like it should be ready by the time you leave. If not, well I suppose you may need to put the 'vine ripening' advice to use. ...pretty sure it will be finished by then though. :)

Thanks V. :thank you:
Again, I'm starting to like the smell of this plant more and more. Just dense pineapple-fruit-mango funk.

I'm pretty sure that it'll be done too. I'm checking trich's daily with the 60x-100x scope. I'll post up some pics in the A.M. They're asleep now.

Coming up on the end of week five. Today's shots, February 18th.

Here are some shots of the undergrowth and the flowers growing up the stalk.

These last two are my favorites today.

Your Afghani is looking nice. Your early in flowering pics look like mine do now, I'm running Afghan though. Its looking so nice filling in, you should let it go as long as possible and see where it goes, I think it will be a nice yield.

I found someone who will care for it while I'm gone, but it would have to me moved to his house for that time period. I'm not sure I'm entirely comfortable moving a mature plant at this stage of the game.

We'll see where it goes. Towards the end of week 7 I'll call it. Then it'll have to be time to decide to flush or continue. I'm going to base it on trich color, that's it.

moving mature plant not fun... nor do plant like such.
rare to find equal care, as well...

options:
a) wicks inserted into media, w/ 10 gal res underneath...
b) cheapo battery operated (or, plug-in) watering timer... that run for ~:30-:60 seconds per day...

this may be helpful:
The Guerrilla irrigation thread: Automatic systems, selfwatering planters and more!
https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=88022

methods applicable indoor, too.

enjoy your garden!

Thanks Mistress. I was going to go with the wick idea, but then I realized that I have 2 G.H. Water Farms I'm not currently using, so I bought the G.H. rez controller to auto-feed instead. I'm going to upgrade to a very large space in the coming months and needed to learn more about rez's. Thanks for the input. I do love seeing you on this board.

In the early stages of flowering were you noticing a citrus smell?

Nope. There was a very unmistakable smell of pineapple mixed with warm garbage. That slowly trailed of into full on pineapple/melon funk.

Fruit, but not citrus. Is that how yours is?

I have a ton of pics for today guys. They were all so pretty that I couldn't choose. I've backed way down on the nutes since I'm only giving them them for the next 10 days to 2 weeks. I started using Advanced Nutrients Overdrive today too. It's used in the last 2 weeks to pack on weight and girth.

Also, I tried to give some of these shots a black background so it stood out. All these were taken toady, February 20th. Sixth week-ish.
The trichs are about 60% milky, 37% clear, 3% amber.

All these were taken in 100% natural sunlight too.

Undergrowth at the base:

Here are the ones with the black back round. I notice it's I nice perspective on the colors, but the flash had to go off.

What ya think? :canabis:

Always a big fan of the Afghani plants too
They never seem to stop packing on the weight
and the trichs!!!
Nice work!

Those pictures look great, Is that the same plant you are taking pictures of?

I notice a sweet hash smell, maybe not citrusy.. Have you seen my diary?

Yep. Just one plant. It's bigger than I thought it would get. It was topped about 10 days before the flip. The 2 main colas are around 13.5 inches high from where the stem meets the coco mix. There are 2 secondary colas, as well and all the under growth.

If you took your hand, made a "claw" and then turned it upside down, that would be the training I was going for.

That sound similar. In my case the pineapple is unmistakeable, but the sweet hash smell could account for the undertone.

I have not seen your thread. Can I get a link?

Hey everyone! Here's today's update at around day 42 of flower. They are getting A.N.'s M/G/B and Overdrive and some Blackstrap. Feedings slowing down a good bit and over the last 2 weeks I've moved the EC from 2.3 down to 1.8 ish. This is their last week of nutrients. The light for the last 2 weeks will be adjusted to 13, then 14 hours of darkness to ripen it up just a bit a quicker at the end. Normally, I wouldn't do that, but since I'm on a schedule, that's how the cracker crumbles.

The Trich's are mostly cloudy with a tiny amount going amber. Not much clear either.
