wtf is this monkey shit

weed man....weed.

Back on topic.

Either bud (fresh or cured) will get you high, but the fresh bud will not burn well and will have a much harsher smoke. I think that people who do not grow (and thus do not cure) fail to appreciate what happens to a bud if you let it sit in a jar for a few months. IMO, you can't even compare the two, cured is like magic bud. That being said, if you don't mind a harsh smoke it is fine to smoke fresh, so long as you atleast dry the damned thing! :)

Did anyone even answer his question?

Fresh bud will not get you high. The THC does not become psychoactive until it has dried out. I have has some good bud after drying for 10 days to two weeks but it will be much better after a couple months....

AHAHAHHAAAAAAAAAA. I sure as hell was :abduct: when I consumed my green FRESH plant in a salad... was high all the way till the next day.

No need to challenge it my good friend. Many people use fresh herbs and get plenty high. Try cooking a pizza and sprinkling a few fresh nug shavings around... mmmmmMMMM!!!!!! Or a salad, as mentioned. Or you could try the volcano :D :) :yeahthats:joint:

I think you wanna smoke the stuff that's dry ;), but beyond that it's kindof a trick question.

It seems some terpenes are more persistent than others and smells/flavors/over-all experience changes with curing time. The answer differs not only with the individual person, but also with the individual terpenoid profile (plant). In other words, some plants may start loosing their kick after 3 weeks off the vine, while others may not be coming into their own until 3+ months. Experiment.

has to be cured, at least 6 months

Of course this is not an option for commercial ops, but for hobby growers, you have to cure

So, can you cure bud thats already been dried? Or do you have to put them in a jar right after harvest?

oh man... trouble, shame on you man lol... spider monkeys sheeshhhh! :biglaugh: someone must name a strain Spider Monkey Cure :joint:

On a serious note though (clears throat)

in order to get the best possible smoke, one must dry and cure properly.

the following description is just of one method out of many possible ones, but imo, this one produces some very nice results:

after harvest and manicuring, let the buds dry until they become crispy to the touch, but if one breaks a bud in half, one will still see some moisture in there. At this point one puts the buds inside air-tight jars, until the moisture within the buds come out and re-moisten the once crisp-dry buds. Now you take the buds out of the jar and let them air out until they become crisp again, and then jar them air-tight again, this time it will take longer for the buds to re-hydrate, and when they do, it will be lighter and more oily, and at this point one has to start to burp the jars by opening them and allowing fresh air in and dry any excess humidity that might produce the proper environment for molds and fungus to form. this is very important to watch-out for, if one leaves the buds inside the jars for too long, the buds will start to rot.

so one must always be on top of the buds and watch humidity levels... until the bud has been dried and re-hydrated in its own juice for a few days, until one finally lets it dry enough so that when bud is locked up in the jars, it will not release any more moisture that may damage the herb.

a proper long good cure proves worthy for sure...

peace

CLEARWATER, Fla. (AP) - Wildlife officials said a spider monkey known to throw feces when mad is on the loose in Tampa Bay.
The Monkey is considered extremely dangerous.

the madder the spider monkey you can get, the more psychedelic the high it gives your bud after the cure, no joke! :yoinks:

Dry first, cure for at least two months, then smoke. S'ok to sample as it cures to see how it is changing.
