Day 25 Flowering

The plants are doing great and finally have stopped streching. The canopy has now evened out at 5 1/2 feet with some 6 feet+ colas growing to the side of the light. I have lots of little golf balls popping up everywhere.

Here is my current feed schedule per gallon at ph 5.5:

9 ml Flora Micro
18 ml Flora Bloom
5 ml Floralicious Bloom
5 ml Liquid KoolBloom
2 ml PH Up

This hybrid cross (DJ Short Blueberry x Sensi Afghani) is showing itself to be very Indica heavy with huge fan leaves. I had to trim quite a bit of fan leaves at the top to let light down into the canopy. Some fan leaves have 9 to 12 inch long stems and really branch out.

I am really looking forward to sampling this smoke. It should be the best of the Blueberry and Afghani. The Arjans Strawberry Haze (ASH) from the last grow (while a very deliteful Sativa) is kinda one deminsional with its very concentrated head high.

Lookin god bro... you'll have nice smokage soon. I'll be running a modified waterfarm system with 1k of lighting soon. I'm still working ou the details and have not moved to the location yet... I am getting anxious, I'm ready to grow something haha. It's been too long since my last harvest... like 6 months. Anyways, K+, lets see those buds fatten up now, huh?

Hi WFF, Looking great! Kice job cleaning up around the base and loseing the small foliage that wouldn't amount to anything anyway! I finally got my 5 gallon batch of wine going and hoooked into my Halo system to disperse the Co2 from the fermenting wine to the Burmese Dream plant. The buds are starting to get shoots grownin out and fatten up!

The little Bonsai has been in 12/12 from seedling and still hasn't shown sex yet. a friend stoped by and gave me a female Menage a Twois clone, so I put it outside to veg up, I'll probably cut some clones off and go back to hydro next time. Props and Peace, Don

Hey Bush Grower. Thanks for stopping by the thread and for your comments. You are going to love the waterfarms with the 1K - They grow huge fucking plants!!!!! There is something also about the 1K lights that make these things go crazy. I am sure you are reving to go. I took 1 1/2 years between my first and second grows - 2 lbs lasts a long time!!!! I am now doing a few runs back to back and will keeps some moms going long term.

Hey Don. Great pics. You will have to keep me posted on the co2 wine setup and your crazy trained bonsai log plant as well. Keep up the great work!!!

Day 40 Flowering

I switched from Liquid Koolbloom to Powder Koolbloom this week. The girls should really fatten up over the next three weeks. This is my first run with this hybrid, and I am guessing that they will go 60-65 days - but only the trichs will tell.

Here is the current nutrient mix per gallon at ph 5.5:

9 ml Flora Micro
18 ml Flora Bloom
5 ml Floralicious Bloom
1/4 tsp KoolBloom Powder
2 ml PH Up

Day 51 Flowering

I thought I would post an update. The plants are really looking great. The flowers are incredabily dense and are really beginning to fatten up (Koolbloom kicks major ass!). There is such a wonderful blueberry smell right now and I can not wait to smell the cured nugs.

The trichs are still mostly clear -so I would guess that they have another 2 1/2 weeks til I chop. There are quite a few red hairs turning, but there is also a ton of new growth as well. I will harvest in 2 stages, taking the main colas first and letting the lower growth get extra week of direct light.

Since this grow is from seed, I took a clone from each plant in late veg. These are now my mothers and are about a week away from providing their first clones. There are two plants that seem to be the best phenos - so it is likely that these will be the only plants that go in the next run.

I will post some pics in a few days. Keep it green.

excellent as allways WFF!!! I'll be picking a mom myself when I start DJ Shorts Grape Kush for my next round. Well the Burmese Dream Bonsai finally finished up so I decided to trim while the plant was still in the pot the only problem I had was lack of streach. Here's a few shots

I've still got the log bonsai going and was just gifted a Menage A Twois foot tall clone just going into flower, a returned favor from a friend that I gifted my freebies too ;)

Hey WFF, it looks a little crowded in that room. Do you have any problems with mold? I am currently running 8 WF currently in week two, and I think I am gonna try and mimick that prune job you did. Next run I am gonna try and upgrade my system to circulate as well. Can't wait to see how this turns out :rasta:

yeah WFF, i've been looking for the right modification setup and you sir have it. when i was at the hydro store the guy was trying to explain modifications and drawbacks, but, this being my first go at hydro i couldn't fully comprehend what he was saying and i didn't want to get into details with him. i have to admit i'm still a little confused about how you put everything together and how your setup works but, i'm going to study your diagram some more to get the gist of your setup and copy the hell out of it. excellent setup :rasta:

Hello everyone!

i'mbacc - Thanks for your comments. You can not go wrong with WaterFarms. They are IMHO the simplest and most efficent bucket system with a few mods.

stoned16 - This is my first run with these gifted seeds - so I am not sure on the exact flowering time. I am guessing that they will finish in 65-68 days - I like my trichs with some amber. That would put it about 2 weeks from harvest.

SvenB - Thanks for stopping by the thread.

Don Cotyle - Those are some nice tight nugs Don! Great job. That DJ Grape Kush sounds like the bomb. This grow is DJ Short Blueberry x Sensi Afghani.

the_lonely_one - It always gets crowded growing trees in a closet, but I have not had any mold problems. I have two strong fans (one tall fan at the base of the waterfarms and another suspended that blows across the canopy) that really move the air around.

Also, since I am not using CO2, I run my room exhaust fan 24/7. I am constantly bringing in air from the central AC to exchange. This helps to keep the humidity and temps down in the closet.

I only advocate prunning if you need it. I never prune anything until early flower to see how the plants are going to fill out. Throughout flower I trim only is absolutely necessary - blocking light from above or lower growth that is not getting any light.

Good luck with your current waterfarm grow! Recirculation is key to a healthy system IMO. I would suggest that do it manually for the rest of the grow. You can add a waterpump to the system and drain to a bucket. Dump this bucket into the top rez a few times and have recirculated the system.

dirtyshawa - If this is your first go at hydro, it might be difficult to understand the need for the modifications - but they are well worth it. I learned by trial and error (and reading lots of internet forums!!!) and this is what I pieced together. Take a look the diagrams in the first post and ask any questions you might have. You will need quite a few extra parts to mimic the system, but it is quite straight forward. Good luck on the hydro adventure!
