Good Chemistry is located in Denver's hip "capitol hill" neighborhood on the VERY busy Colfax Avenue, some great people watching in these parts....
but i digress...
The Colfax Avenue location of Good Chemistry is open to medical AND recreational sales; altho I shop medical as a caregiver making prices lower and taxes much less. It's a small shop, strictly business in this busy neighborhood.

^^ Ingrid, high potency Indica, a house specialty at Good Chemistry, very earthy coffee smell to the buds, then when they are crushed they give a candied sweet earth smell... the smoke is super thick and tasty, an earthy coffee with hints of sweetness.

^^ Blue Dream nug
Dense buds like very hard sponges that smell sweet creamy and blue; however flavor of the smoke was inconsistent, sometimes harsh and uncured, sometimes sweet and smooth....

A typical problem in Colorado, quality suffers as shops struggle to keep up with increasing demand, rushing products to the shelf before allowing a proper cure.

Also purchased a "350 mg" (according to the packaging) infused peanut butter cup... it was very tasty, no nasty flavors at all, and a decent buzz for the price (10$) and claimed dosage rate (350 mg is on the high end of dosage for edibles in Colorado).
It was eaten before photographed, nothing much to see, a chocolate covered goodie just smaller than a hockey puck.

Overall Good Chemistry is a decent shop, great convenient location near broadway and colfax, perhaps their only downfall being inconsistency of product (especially buds) due to increased demand from newly legalized recreational sales. However the high quality of their well cured buds is very encouraging, the Ingrid was very unique and worth the price in every way (and it seemed to be cured properly as well judging by not only by the feel of the buds but the smooth smoke and clear flavors in coming thru that mimic the smell of the flower).

Hey Avinash, not surprised at the harshness on some of that bud, I can see the beginnings of mold on that lower nug photo.

Looks like they're still having issues with quality... stopped by there myself to pick up some "Harlequin"... Sad. The following is a copy/paste of the review I put on my blog... Not uploading pics to icmag anymore so you'll have to go elsewhere to find them.

Colorado Recreational Cannabis Review: Good Chemistry

Located at 330 Colfax in the heart of downtown Denver, Good Chemistry is in a building very easy to miss. A small shop with a simple lower case 'g' on the front door is all that brands this hole in the wall outlet shop. Parking was convenient but metered, not bad considering the amount of homeless on the sidewalk and the capital building less than two blocks away.

The Lobby

This tiny place sported a very clean and narrow lobby with a couple of chairs on one wall, a door and a frosted window... My ID was checked and I was allowed to enter.

The Shop

The counter takes up the entire left side of the establishment as you walk in. The receptionist desk is immediately to your left as you walk in (The back side of the frosted window) and then the counter for the bud tenders starts. First is recreational cannabis on the nearest part of the counter with the medicinal station at the far end of the counter. They accept only cash and provide an ATM machine for those that only have plastic.

The Staff

The staff was very friendly and did their best to be helpful.

I explained to the bud tender that I have an extreme sensitivity to Azamax, Azatrol and other Azadirachtin products. The bud tender's immediate reaction was to state that they use only all organic ingredients. I explained that azadirachtin products were certified organic and yet, they are poisonous when used on cannabis. I could see that she found the concept of “Organic Poison” to be a difficult concept. She obviously has a very limited education on growing. Normal and not the end of the world for a bud tender, but disappointing just the same.
The Selection

The boards on both the recreational side and medicinal side had quite a few strains listed. Prices for recreational were almost $37 for an 1/8th of an ounce, after taxes.
The Harlequin

The product I purchased was an 1/8oz of the strain “Harlequin”. I know harlequin and have the cut in my own garden. It's a unique clone only cut of cannabis that's 8% cbd and only 6% thc. I asked to see their Harlequin and she handed me an open 1/8th to look at and smell. I smelled the open package and jerked my head back in reaction. Mold/Mildew smelling.... how disappointing. I told the bud tender that it was not “Clean” cannabis but that I would purchase it anyway.

Nearly $37 for 1/8th ounce after taxes. Not a bad price for decent cannabis, kind of steep for the smell coming out of the bag. Still, I know harlequin and was glad to have access to it.

The Bud

Visual At first sight, the bud was bare of the big shiny, juicy trichomes that Harlequin produces. (I literally get DRIFTS of trichomes on the bottoms of my Harlequin jars) The next thing I noticed was the smell, or rather the lack of smell of cannabis. That stands to reason since most of the smell would come from those juicy trichomes that are missing. While I got dense nuggets, they were still wet, smelled of mold and spongy. When I tried to break it up, it ended up smashed under light pressure from too much moisture.

Smell/Taste The mildew/mold smell intensified when the bud was broken up, no sweet smell of Harlequin cannabis was evident though. Another disappointment. Heavy trichome and turpene production is the sign of a well grown product and so far this just keeps falling short. Tasting the bud reveals a very low cannabinoid content (not very spicy) with several non-cannabis flavors. It at least tasted free of chemical pesticides.
Smoke Report

I rolled the bud into a joint using ZigZag's orange 1 1/4 papers. Cardboard is better than nothing and considering the smells the bud was giving off, I didn't think a poor quality rolling paper like ZigZags would bother it much. When I smoked this product I could immediately taste Denver and the fact that where this cannabis is grown there is a lot of dust in the air. Gack.

There was a slight, non-cannabis nutrient taste on the back end that was quickly replaced by the taste of mold. No Harlequin 'Sweet' hit my tongue at all, just more moldy/mildew plus a burnt oil taste that could be the 'neem' listed on the package.

The flush on it was minimal and non-effective, the ash burns a bright white with black bits and isn't anything like the “off-white fluffy” that clean cannabis burns to. The immediate effects were like sticking your head between your legs for a minute and then sitting up. Uncomfortable and unpleasant but it faded in half a minute or so. I'm guessing that effect is from whatever is in/on the plant as Harlequin never gave me that kind of effect before and it's definitely non-cannabis in nature.

What the contaminates that are in/on this bud actually are, I don't know. The bud immediately had my wife's reactive airway's condition acting up and cutting off her airflow. She had to quit smoking it after the second toke. After finishing the first joint I felt mildly sick to my stomach. What a waste. This morning I woke up feeling like I had a hangover and the cannabis is the only thing I changed yesterday. Sad.

I'm sitting here smoking a few more bong loads, wishing I had only purchased a gram. With the amount of fertilizer they fed this plant, the cannabinoid production is ultra-low and it's almost not worth using this cannabis at all. With the addition of the other contaminates on the plants, Good Chemistry gets a very low score from TheCleanGame :(

I'm not even sure they sold me Harlequin, to be perfectly honest. It very well could be just poorly grown harlequin, I don't know. It certainly doesn't look or act like the Harlequin I have, that's for sure.

TheCleanGame Rating: Good Chemistry... 3 Stars

Staff: 3 stars. Nice, Friendly, Ignorant

Shop: 4 stars. Professional, Clean, Well thought out, could be in a nicer part of town.

Selection: 4 stars Decent number of strain selections for both recreational and medicinal cannabis.

Cannabis Quality: 1 star Poor Quality. Overfed, no real flush, contaminated, Mold/Mildew, Low Strength.

I give Good Chemistry 3 stars because everything about them is professional except their education and the cannabis they're selling. One of those is muuuuch easier to fix than the other.

Headed to Denver for cannabis? Unless Good Chemistry turns out to be one of the better shops for quality, I would recommend skipping Good Chemistry at this point in time.

Keep it Clean!
