Ask Ed and he'll tell ya, Make Stash with Your Trash!
Get yer McGyver going and build a low budget trichome seperator. Yeah, it's hillbilly as hell, but it works.

I had an oz. of some shake, and some bud that was starting to taste stale, so I chopped it up and ran it through my 145 micron stainless steel mesh tumbler and got about 1 1/2 grams. I would recommend 125 microns for less plant material for anyone wanting to build one of these.

These are really cool, but the bad news is some dealers are tumbling their product before it is sold. Some even will go so far as to sell you hash made from the resin from the buds you just bought

Seed Buyers Beware! Don't waste your money on hype. If you have to buy multiple seed packs to find that "keeper", you're getting ripped off. Every female in a pack of seeds should be a keeper! We've been led to believe that lots of variation in a cross is a good thing, because some vendors would rather you buy several packs of their gear, instead of them actually doing the selections to fix that nag champa or golden clit trait themselves. For hobby growers, pheno hunting is fun. But mono-croppers who grow to pay the bills prefer a consistent product that regularly delivers the desired trait package.

Yeah, I can change the speed by using different size drive wheels. Smaller for slower, larger for faster. I've found I get more with the drum turning at about 1 revolution per second.

good one! Not a bad first effort!

It appears to turn way too fast...try to set it up so turns at 20 ~ 40 rpm

and tumbler screens are best enclosed, not open.

did you freeze the material prior to tumbling?

more importantly, how did it smoke?

Happy Tumbling

I had it set up at 30 rpm with a small drive wheel, but it didn't make enough contact with the drum, so I went with a bigger wheel. I'll try and find a better smaller one. The tumbler screen isn't open, it's closed and sealed. I do freeze the trim first. The resulting product smokes great!

Thank you Cannaco, Chamba and Papulz for your suggestions!
