last summer at the pikes peak race i was there bright and early so i had a chance to get the sun rising above the morning clouds in picture crisp, super zoomed in hd.
i had limited tape space and battery power for the whole day, so i couldnt dedicate as much attention to it as i would have liked but overall i think it came out pretty decent.
Gaze the Sun during safe hours which are first hour of day light and last hour of day light.Practice is known as Sungazing or Solar Yoga.To find exact method google Hira Ratan Manek and if you would like to try it,follow instructions strictly.
