Zif & Kal do Master Kush x Sweet Skunk

I harvested my plant today. Personally I think she could of gone longer as a the tops weren’t done. This is probably because they were close to the lights and kept pushing new flower growth.

My particular expression stinks to high heaven. Citrus and gas aromas have permeated the house and stressed me out a bit haha.. I didn’t get many pictures toward the end but here’s a few from last week.

The buds inside the sweet spot for the leds came out beautifully, almost hard and encrusted with sticky lemony resin glands. She was very sticky and not easy to cut down fast.

I have a landlord inspection in a few days so had to do the harvest now.

This plant has been a trip and quite the learning curve. Looking forward to growing something more suited to my tiny tent next

Some tops to wrap up my plant. 1 & 4 chopped at 9 weeks, 2 & 3 at 10. The aromas are extraordinarily nice - funky citrus creamsicle hovering over eye-watering hashy gas, and pungent! Both loud, and notes sitting in between mustard, mint, and skunk. Each profile is a bit different, except for the strong citrus that's the most prominent commonality.

Despite my watering snafus, and the airier structure of all but scion #3, the plant as a whole yielded right on my average for the wattage. If the effects match the aromatic qualities of the flower, the yield could be a whole lot less and still worth it. I'm hoping to press some very soon.

I had a loud gas aroma with a fizzy lemon background for quite a while. I’ve since lost a bit of it due over drying.

First squish, scion #2:

The rosin is very oily - right out of the deep freeze, it was hard to get it to snap, as it was still so pliable. Pressed the parchment between thumb and finger and it instantly melted into the sticky glistening mass on the right.

Dabs tasted like funky herbal orange musk and left the room smelling very skunky from the vapor.

Really zippy effect on this scion - not good for bedtime!

I concur with not smoking this at bedtime. Although mine does seem to have a bit of lethargy in there too.

The musk is definitely there!

I’ve got to say that this stuff gets better with age. It seems to have lost its edge/zippiness a bit and mellowed, which is far more nice. Still lovely and potent, but without feeling sketchy. The aroma and taste are really interesting since the fruity side is on the backend, while the dank gasiness (no idea how else to describe it) is on the front end. Everyone who’s tried it has really enjoyed it. It’s a good mix and a solid good all rounder when it comes to smoke.

By the way, going back to our discussion on what Chimera cultivar we’re all going to corroboratively grow next, I’m down for Lemon Floss.

@zif and I discussed it a little and thought we’ll add another choice so anyone who joins can choose either or both.

To make it a bit more fun, we’ll make it into a mini grow contest? I can get my hands on a couple packs as a prize and maybe we can get BR to be the judge at the end? Let me know if you think the above is a good or not so good idea.

As for the other variety, someone else can decide on that as I’ll probably only grow the Lemon Floss

I'm thinking Lemon Floss with the Melon Haze x Sweet Skunk as a backup / second.

I pressed my #1 plant from the MK x SS today. It smells less animal than the #2. The dab's taste is ridiculously good, though... distinct lavender and lemon. Balanced perfectly. The effect - I can't say in the long run - but I didn't plan to get lost a dozen times making this post. She's an easy keeper.

I'll double check in the fridge for any remaining Lemon Floss. I might have to fall back on Mental Blox. I think I have two MF x Jack in the tent but they might not be production ready.

I'm down for the mini-grow idea. Are we talking no bigger than a solo cup or perhaps a yogurt cup? What are the parameters? Count me in. I'll get the other tent in order.

I've had difficulties getting my MK x SS to take (germ correctly). At some point I have to wonder if it's me but I've got an otherwise completely full tent of Chi stuff.

No constraints on size of plant as such. I might of used the words mini and grow out of context. If you’d like to grow mini/bonsai style then go right ahead.

so in addition to the lemon floss I'm thinking either hash plant or pure kush crossed to SS. I have about 4 spots opening up soon and can start in 4 weeks earliest. Maybe I'll do 2 flosses and 1 each of hash, pure? Or maybe 2 and 2? We can run a fun contest...why not.

Hey gang,
Regarding the grow contest...I would participate but my schedule needs to be checked... Of the seeds I would go with fems but I got only Sweet skunk, King x SS, SS xl and island purps x ss... Not 100% sure, gotta check again.
Otherwise, got also some Jack and BlockHead reg hybrids, some are very interesting like congo x by or SDxJack.
Let me know if I qualify for this

She's so good, I'm a little surprised at how good every taste I get.

I cull 'only' good plants all the time, and hem and haw on keeping a lot of better plants. It's nice whenever a plant pops up that's just a keeper, cut and dried!

My current lonely plant is weeks out. I know @zif has already popped some LF and some Melon Haze x SS for his grafts. I’m probably looking at end of August / first week of September before the tent can be free. I’m jealous of all you guys with more space.
