This is one of the first to sex for this line this season. Very fast growth. It is being grown in recycled soil. I have noticed that some do better in my recycled soil. This is a very special line and very fortunate to have been able to grow it.

Still smoking the last bits of mine, schwaggy little buds that I had bagged for dry sift, somehow cure into potent sativa loveliness. Great weed and not stupid long flowering for no real additional gain.

This looks way different that in the past. What do you think. Have you had one like this?
The one in the back is Angola...

Can you elaborate on the line?
Fortunately the old native guarani woman who gave us the cutting and the seeds really appreciated the strain and refused to hyrbidize it when growing it for her own personal stash. I couldn't meet her in person. In order for luiz to be permitted into the compound an armed escort assigned by the mafia was required. These were obviously very sketchy people.

We do still have seeds and we will try to make them available one way or the other either as an accession or as unbred freebies.

the choco chiba has a great story behind it including the native guarani women's handing over to luiz fritzman of defunct brazilizn seed co. the cc clone and cc pure beans.

one aspect I found so appealing is that this guarani woman was married to a cannabis drug lord. she had tremendous access to lots of Paraguay strains. the only strain she would smoke was choco chiba. Paraguay has lots of great landraces. I have grown out Paraguay cohiba ( smoke some last night; one of my favorite smokes and possibly related to the Brazilian cohiba that might be the "mom" of white widow):

cohiba "mom" of white widow?

the traffickers in Paraguay ( official cannabis 2nd leading exporter to the world) brick these wonderful sativas wet. the ooze from these wet compressed bales are scraped and packaged as exotic delicacies. I believe the fudge bars madjag talks about so often were these Paraguay or other country's compression ooze delicacies. the wet bricked cannabis is basically ruined by the piss poor compression techniques employed in Paraguay imo.

Cannabis in Paraguay is illegal as of July 2015, but the nation is one of the world's largest producers of cannabis. It is the second-largest cannabis producer in Latin America, following Mexico.[1] Paraguay is the main source of cannabis for Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, and Chile, and produced 5900 metric tons per year per a 2008 report.[2]

^ another cc thread.

the heli's got last years cc grow of mine. they almost got me. sorry, I deleted pics due to security reasons. close call last year.

I've got some choco chibas going for a bean run and some more choco choco's. choco choco is choco hash plant (vulcania)/ choco chiba.

chomba64 had the only choco chiba smoke report on the 'net that I could find a few years back. his big brothr iirc was slinging some exotic herb back in the early '60's and this is how chamba64 got his first experience with choco chiba; a suspected Paraguay sister of chocolate Colombian.

looking forward to chmba64's pics and hopefull smoke reports. :)

there is some genetic diversity in the choco chiba beans which is a good thing me thinks. :)

they should improve into cocoa terps during aging from my experience. you have as much or more experience with her than me so i'm looking forward to your assessments.

the choco chiba pollen was stored from indoor run in freezer. the females were from same batch and were pollinated outdoors in areas where I only ran choco chiba for pure beans runs so I see no chance with foreign cannabis pollen contamination. in my area thre are no hemp weed patches and no one but me can hardly seem to even grow down here in the se usa conditions. the clay soil hates cannabis.

you should have the real deal with some genetic diversity. there is no mistaking choco chiba's distinctive aroma and taste.

purpleclouds has some choco chibas going slightly purple from bsc seed stock.

choco chiba run. my super soil is too hot for seedlings but they'll recover based on other seedlings before these re performance. the wide leaves on some phenos yield to sativa nld growth characteristics in later veg.

i'll do straight choco chiba beans and hybrids like choco hash plant/choco chiba ( choco choco) and eskobars chocolate rain fem/choco chiba ( chiba rain) where choco chiba will hopefully meet some chocolate thai genetics:

Chocolate Rain fem
A intense chocolate cross from Dna Chocolope and Cocoa Kush from Dj short, the combination of two of my favorite smokes.
The selected Chocolope is a sweet bitter chocolate thai sativa with little stretch. Very easy to grow and heavy yield in 9 to 10 weeks.

Yes there is diversity in any line. They both smell pretty much the same.I'm not very good at describing cannabis smells, but the Choco's have an unusual smell.
Yes E.T. those are seeded buds. Seed increase. Pure CC. Peace
