How much additives/ferts in water can be wicked upwards? Is there a PPM limit? What about stuff like humic acids, aminos, kelp?

Ummm..cation exchange sites are in play here. Yeah no doubt theres a limit to what a water column can keep in solution and perform capillary action induced upward movement

the ppm limit is the amount that can be dissolved in water. you will never get near it mixing at plant use strength.

i am currently adding fulvic acid and kelp powder to the jack's 3-2-1 formula and getting great results.

the 3-2-1 ratio with 1 ml per gallon mr fulvic and about a half tsp of maxicrop soluble kelp powder per 30 gal tank comes out to about 900 ppm at the .5 conversion. that is with my 80 ppm tap water.
