Where did "Joe Brand" get the bag?

D

draco

As far as I can see the chemdog line started with a bag Joe Brand sold to Chemdog. Who bred THAT bag of herb? What did they call it?

Those deluxe genetics didn't just appear... does anyone know the rest of the story? Through the years I have smoked weed that tasted like the chemdog, but I can't remember when I first tasted it...

Was it a boutique cut that was known to only a select few? If so where did it come from and who are it's parents?

Maybe this is common knowledge and I am the only one who doesn't know!

this is just stuuf i read,,,so i could easly be wrong,,,,,,,,,,,,,

the Dog`s are connected with P-Bud,,,,,knowing the story of P-Bud is like knowing a sub story to the Chemdawg clones,,,,,,,,,DogBud was the "chem" seedlines name beffore chem gotahold of it,,,,,the weed chem bought at the dead-show was from the hills,,,,,,,,

the chem-lines stink is synonymous with the old stinky afghans, similar to the 1 sam selected away from in the skunk line,,,,,,,,,

thats the best i can do

Hey thanks Rick!

It seems strange that with all the bruhaha over the Chem, someone did not stand forth and claim the glory... sounds like it was a local strain developed locally by some hippy breeder who cared more about growing dank than taking credit for it. Maybe.

Makes me wonder about all the killer clone only strains that stay obscure and are only known locally to a very few, and will never reach a wider appreciation.

Kudos to the breeders who take the time to bring to seed those strains that delight us. Here it is less than one year after becoming a grower and I am selecting from excellent stock that I bought over the internet! Within another year I will have selected some serious keepers that I will share with the local med community.

And who knows? Maybe after I get a few good moms I will try some crosses of my own... I guess that's how it starts!

peace

It shrugs off cold nights like an Afghan. My ssh stopped in its tracks once the temps dropped. ChemdogD ignored the temps.

Yeah Garlic bud I think was originally from the Seedbank. I could be wrong. But it was an Afghan line almost pure I believe and smelt and tastes of garlic.

I have had phenos in MNS G13xSK that have reminded me of Garlic Bud. Hitting the same parts of the nose.

My chemdawg d bx1 smells like rotten garlic onion butt funk so I can see where it might have a possible relationship to a garlic bud. Peace and smoke.

I've got some shiva shanti from sensi seeds which is supposedly based on the "garlic bud"... description looks very nice, quite cheap they were too.

Garlic Bud was from Neville's Seed Bank,I grew the Sensi "version" after Dronkers bought him out,and it was a very good,nice,Skunk....
Reservoir's Chemdog BXs,imo, have more "garlic" in them than any phenotype I saw from those "Garlic Bud" seeds, long ago.

Cheers!
