Whats the difference between Chem DOG and Chem Dawg?

i read OG Kush is chem DAWG, what is this chem DOG business all about?

Is this right, to make the male/female version of chem dawg (clone only) it had to be outcrossed to something else then bred back to original clone to stabilize the desired traits of chem DAWG in male/female seed form? thus, it is no longer chem DAWG but something new which is now chem DOG?

Is this the same thing with sour diesel IBL and original E.C.S.D clone?

I read somewhere the name is from chem ferts, is dawg ,organic is dog,I may be wrong but I think its dinafem deisal that states this in their desription of there deisal. good smoke 2

The letters "aw" and "o" are the only difference.

I've always spelling it "chemdog" but to each his own.

As bud said there are several "chemdog" cuts out there... the chem D, the chem4, the 91... as well as the lesser circulated ones like chem sister and chemdog3... They are all cuts out of the same group of bagseed...

If you can get your hands on the D or 4 go for it, the rest of em are kinda bleh in comparison IMO... I haven't tried the 3 or sister, but I don't see chem getting better than the D or 4... I've never been more satisfied with a cut than with the chemD - ridiculous quality with a great yield...

those are both still very active cuts. I'd say that there are 5 true Chemdawg cuts that float around these days and about 5 million fakes.

I don't think any of the other phenos were really saved. Chem Sister is from the 2001 germ that produced the Chem D.

Chem #3 is the other pheno that joebrand liked out of the 4 that Chemdog sent him for the reunion pheno.

The sis is Chem an and she is the heaviest sativa of the lot. Without her there be no GG4. I found a killer keeper of Chem sis x kush cleaner some amazing ammonia/piss skunk and lemon pledge all rolled into 1. My girl hates it i adore it her or that cut would been gone

IIRC there has been great debate over "dawg" vs "dog", much like "herijuana" vs "herojuana", and to add to the confusion, even the original breeders have been found to have the rare quote spelling it "the wrong way".

I will look for the link if available but from word of people I know online it was called chemdog until Bret Bogue of Apothecary Genetics ended up calling it CHEMDAWG if any veterans from icmag dont mind chiming in.. I think that is the history behind that

Yea,its chemdog,the guys called chemdog,the strains called chemdog,good old dog should know he's a freind of chemdog and a long time member here as well he's held the chem 91 since it was born near enuff.his word should be enough.76

In fact chemdog lost the 91 years ago,then good ole dog gave it back to him,it's all in the chemdog thread.76
