what led lights would be ideal for 8x4 tent? i've been thinking about 5pcs of 240w quantum boards with ir/uv. i am not yet familiar with this new bar kind of model. do they have much difference between? forgot to mention they should be cool enough. i can probably get 5x 240w qb's for around 700$ so i think it's worth but first i wanted to ask your opinions about current market lights. i want best quality buds and a lot of yield :yummy:

You will get a lot of buds with that kind of gear. The LEDs are killer and surprisingly powerful today. The market is flooded with 240w qb's at competitive prices. There are 100s of manufacturers' building boards with just a few different diodes. Its all the same diodes just a whole bunch of different board builders.

Here are just a few companies out of a hundred, Aeroflex, Aeroflex, American Microsemiconductor, Bourns, Bussmann, Comchip Technology, Crystek, Dialight, Diodes, Dionics, Fairchild Semiconductor, General Semiconductor, Germanium Power Devices, Infineon, Ixys, Kingtronics, Littelfuse, Micro Commercial Components, New Jersey Semiconductor,.......

I learned that I don't have to spend a lot of money buying dimmable LEDs. There are some overpriced LEDs that people pay too much for and don't have to. Some of the LEDs are only good for about 3 years. A few have five-year warranties like Mars. Either way, you won't be sorry with LEDs in your tent.

When you get set up, check back and let us know how its going. 😎

yeah and i see qb's are coming down in the price. that's why i am not sure what to get if there is something way better available. now i am looking for 2x 650w bar lights with dimming option. i can get them for 1300$. so i have two choices = 5x 240w qb's (700$) or 2x full coverage led bars 650w (1300$).

With 5 qbs you can move the lights in the areas where the canopy needs the lighting most. However, they will burn hotter than the light strips. I have two 130-watt qbs with one 400-watt HPs running in the same grow. Using this combo is cheap and very low priced. I have a 6x5 grow, and I paid $200 for both LEDs and the total wattage is around 600 Watts with HPS together. . Please keep us posted. 😎

hmm.. because their price difference is 500$ i think it's better to start with qb's and get extended cords for the drivers in order to get them out of tent. then i maybe wait a bit if these bars will drop in price. i'm just wondering if these qb's cause too much hotspot in the middle so corners won't get enough light because of that. now it's all about the heat and the corners. well and the price.

That's very nice to know because all I hear is the first part and not the second part. Another good reason not to spend too much money. Thanks, Corpselover. 😎
