Using a Web browser via a thumb drive?

It appears that I am behind the times..(surprise!)

There are multiple choices of portable browsers that will run from your USB.

Cool.

So glad we could have this little talk. :)

Hiren's boot cd was good. I have not tried the latest one. It can run linux or xp (now win10) in your PC ram. No hard drive needed. It has a lot of other software to. Mostly aimed at recovery. If your drive is buggered and OS won't boot, you can usually run an OS in ram, and piece through whatever is left of the drive. Saving it, or data from it.

2016.. but tails still returns results
